Which is better? I just realize Facebook is more expensive than Adwords.

Better for what? They are vastly different, but if you have a reliable conversion process, then you can use either to drive traffic.

If you are using Adwords, give the Display Network (formerly the Content Network) a try. Sometimes it is not the ad platform but the marketer. You need to have a great product, a great message, and laser target those ads and your good. Always remember to split test.

      Hope that helps,
      Cheers,

Does this mean FB will beat Google in PPC?

IMO, it mainly depends on type of product you are promoting

I have been taking a course on media buying the last while (making pretty good money off it actually) ... and you don't need to use the suggested "price" with facebook, which is a bonus, unlike google. Facebook is definitely much more targetted, well worth the investment, however you also need to understand trends, which would be dependent on your product. For instance, there are certains times you would invest more money into certain ads to expect the highest ROI. Really, at the end of the day, it depends on your product and your price point to determine which would be the best bang for your buck.

I can understant what is your point, the thread is not complete though.
But, i think facebook is the best in all aspect, chatting, advertising, spreading, all in all.
Facebook is a lot of help to us who aspire to be a professional bussinessman.
Try them both and judge them by your point of view and you are the one who will decide for it so if you fail, no one will be responsible. ^_^

Actually that's not a good idea to try them both, you should only test one at a time and run split tests with two campaigns on the same network you are buying ads from. It's important to collect data at first so you can see what's working and what's not before you branch off to another ad network. And if this is your first campaign be prepared to lose some money. Again it's all dependent on product, price point and buying trends for the season.

    Depending on your business.

If you're in a problem solving market, i.e. curing panic attacks, getting pregnant etc... Google is definitely more targeted.

If you're in a market where relationship = long term profits, i.e. IM, Stocks, Make up, Flirting, Seduction... Facebook is definitely better.

I guess it all depends on what and how you want to use them to your advantage. On certain aspects Facebook will be a lot more better than Google. But on others
Google too will be a lot more better than Facebook so it really all depends on what you want to use them for.

If you are promoting products for general use and your main focus is to build up brand awareness, then Facebook is better, otherwise you should go with AdWords.

Facebook hands down...Google is old news. I love how you can target your audience with facebook. I'd rather spend my money there and waste on low quality traffic from Google

Facebook seems to give a better return on investment as others say it is far more targeted.

That said the approval process for ads on facebook can be erratic with some affiliate links being approved and some not.

Overall you should find that you will pay far less per click on Facebook and get far more targeted visitors.

Ideal for those wanting to test the water with PPC and a smaller budget.
