Niche Simple or Roll Your Own?

I don't know if anyone has seen Willie Crawford's Niche Simple for $497/yr.
He's basically offering hosting with 5 A Class / C Class IP Address, Niche Mall and Niche VRE Sites, training, WP Blog installation and Expert Wordpress Blog.

I found IX Webhosting featuring 15 C Class IP addresses and most of the features that Willie's hosting offers for $107.40/yr (12 mo Deal).

Expert Wordpress Blog $97
Niche VRE (Free - ???) Est. $100

Total Roll Your Own: $304.40 one-time and $107.40 a year after for hosting.

Now I can install my own WP Blogs and I have other alternatives to the Niche Mall but wouldn't having 15 IP addresses better than having 5 IP addresses?

My thing is to get as many sites up, both Adsense and real product sites, series of landing pages and others. I have read here that having your site linked to from feeder sites on different IP addresses is Google friendly.

With 15 IP addresses you could create some pretty elaborate link wheels and other logical structures to help boost PR rankings.

And it would aid in using the WSO Pixel-Pipe to have the social media links to the main site and all of the feeder sites.

This wouls then spawn a slew of Squidoo and Hubpages pointing back to all of it.

Or would it be better to have just 5 IP addresses in a managed plan that offers the features listed above to get the VRE templates and Expert Wordpress Blog?

Since I can and know how to do the grunt work, wouldn't it be better to work the 15 IP addresses, put 60+ WP Blogs, countless landing and squeeze pages on each one?

There seems to be a lot of conversation about getting sites a ton of backlinks to enhance the traffic, wouldn't having links coming from 15 different IP addresses one way to start the process?

Also is there any special tricks for Windows 2008 R2 Server based sites?
Most I see are Linux/PHP. I have a VPS basically doing nothing (well it's servicing my DJ Software's playlist generation but that barely taxes it)
and wondered if there are any ASP.net tricks out there?

Hosting is such a mixed bag of nuts that you really do have to
compare feature to feature, time involved, how much of a
given package you are going to use or actually need, etc.

Anchorage is one of my favorite cities by the way. I use
to fish Ship Creek wearing a Ruger Super Blackhawk to
discourage others angles from tangling my line :-)
