Wow and this was created in his spare time and sold for $5 a piece. Do we have any software coders with talent and a clever idea here?

It's great when people can harness their skills and talents to produce income for themselves.

I knew these sorts of things would happen as soon I heard about the App store. Imagine how many more people are out there just like him? Companies have been formed because of this.

I wish I knew a bit more about programming! lol

I have an iPhone and the App Store logo just stares in your face everytime you look at the screen. If you have a decent product it's almost automatic profit with over 8 million iPhone users. There have been 60 million app downloads since.

Interesting stats- so the average user has only downloaded about 1.2 apps although there are hundreds (or thousands) available, and some are free.

That's shocking- I would think those users are into trying new stuff and would have downloaded many apps to experiment.

Imagine if the average computer user had only installed 1.2 programs or the average game console owner only had 1.2 games - that would seem odd.

So that tells me many users aren't into downloading apps or something else is wrong.

My mistake it is actually 60 million downloads on the app store or 6 per user. I will correct the stat.

And those 60 million downloaded was all the way back in August. It is probably closer to 70 million by now.

    I'm developing an iPhone App.
It's not something that is going to make me a ton of money but more for fun.

I love the iPhone and the App store.
