Hi, Everyone,

Making money online is not easy.This is a phrase that you seldom hear, but very true... if you are not doing it correctly....

Most of us get caught up with what I would call...."the cut and paste artists" and others, who never really reveal the truth and lead you to believe that attaining success at "making money online" is like taking candy from a baby......

Most of them are only interested in making a sale because...Nothing is further from the truth.

Statistics have revealed, that a mere 4 to 5% of marketers are....and continue to be, successful at making money online......

I can tell you as a fact that their successes have nothing to do with cutting and pasting!

Making money online takes "WORK" just like any other business and can be very difficult WORK, if you do not have the correct tools..which include.....knowledge of the subject at hand...the correct mind-set....learning the necessary skills etc. Don't be fooled..

Making money online successfully must be considered as a real business, not a quick fix to your financial problems...

If you do not understand what you are doing you cannot successfully make money.

Most people don't....which is the main reason why they fail to generate an online income and only know what the Sales Pages tell them.....

I would like to suggest that you take your time and do some meaningful research focusing on genuine programs that have proven themselves over a period of time.... get into an area of business that you think you can be comfortable with and always promote something of real value to your potential customers........

You would then be setting the stage for Making Money online Quick and Easy. "Happy New Year to you.

  Same shoes with you last year, my wife thought i was daydreaming looking for money from the pc screen, mere wishes she thought until my first check came in, she was able to buy all her needs, a nice car for herself, today she is sitting by my side close to the pc

  its not easy because you have to be on the right path as you`ve said. There is also a lot of competition but if you know how to beat your competition, making money online should be as easy as 1,2,3!

  The term 'real work' seems to get banded about our household often. It's funny that when I'm still at my computer at 2.00am not doing 'real work' the rest of my family are tucked up in bed fast asleep!

No- one told me when I first started how difficult it would be. All you heard from the "guru's" was how easy it was and how quick you would make money. It is hard work, but having anything worthwhile is hard work. You don't appreciate it otherwise.
You definitely have to have something else in mind besides making the next buck, because A. you won't make it or B. you sacrifice things like friends and family to keep trying to get something that won't satisfy, by itself in the end anyway.

IMHO, you need to have a larger purpose than just making money. If that's all it's about, one can lose focus, and become discouraged. Yes, it's true most people never make a living online, but it is also true that most give up before they ever get paid!
Having a real reason beats searching for a buck!
Some people even use a charity that they want to donate a % of their income to as the BIG reason!

Find one, and find yourself succeeding.

It is not so difficult to make money online. You could start right now by going to the Products and Services offered section and telling people you will do some time consuming task for them for a reasonable price.

That is not a very difficult thing to do and at the right price with the right offer, you could make some money.

Or if you want, you could over to Fiverr or someplace like that and offer a service.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the original post.

You don't need to be a workaholic, you just need to work smart.

And as for hard... Sitting on your caboose pushing a few buttons...

If you have a good plan, a good guide and do the right things you
will make money online and it sure beats squeezing the crap out of
pigs intestines or working in a mine, or working in a morgue, picking
up dead bodies after a war or even cleaning public toilets.

Find someone that is doing well, add value to their life and then ask
them how they did it

Exactly!!

Its easy to make money but its hard to learn how to do it... but most give up where as the people that are actually making money are the ones that put the effort and the time in to do such a thing.

My family now realise that I work a lot but then they now dont mind when I go travelling for a few months at a time because they know i am still working... all be it the minimum amount needed

the hardest money you will make is your first £1 the rest is just a numbers game :-)

Yes I agree! making money online is not a rocket science. You must be diligent and hard working enough to face all the challenges and most anticipate trial and error system before you become successful in your internet marketing.

Making money online is not easy if you don't take action, start with something small, write an article or anything like that, but just take action because siting and reading about making money online will not do anything for you.

Making money online is easy, but if I would sell a book on how to do it, most folks here would say: "Yeah, I knew all that. Nothing new".
The problem is - IMO - that most folks can't identify what works best, and if someone tells them what works best they feel disappointed because it wasn't all new to them and therefor think it doesn't work.
Finding that needle in that IM haystack is really what it is all about. Once you've found what works (and enjoy the challenge), it becomes easy.

I don't know anyone who I would consider an idiot who makes a lot of money online or offline - meaning that the ads you see saying its so easy anyone can do it are not true.

Also in response to Stefan, you are so correct. But in addition people don't like to follow simple recipes, they want shortcuts and fast tracks.

I'll tell you a recipe for being successful - identify a product/service that you can provide that people will pay money for and spend 2 hours a day improving your skill, 4 hours a day selling it/doing it for $$$ and 2 hours a day marketing yourself for the rest of your life. I guarantee you will be a success. However this strategy is boring and tedious.

You situation is most likely different than many others on this forum where you have the ability to spend 8 or more hours working this plan.

For most, it is 30 minute drive to work 8-10 hour workday, 30 minute drive home, 2 hours of family time/responsibilities, home maintenance, dinner, etc. (I refuse to tell my 6 year old that we can't work on his Pinewood Derby car because I have to improve my skill.)

So now after all that, I need to spend 2 hours improving a skill, 4 hours a day marketing that skill, and another 2 hours marketing myself.

Hmmm, so far this is a 21 hour day. I have gotten by with 4 1/2 hours of sleep a night for a couple of weeks, but after that, a person becomes ineffective in everything they attempt. I couldn't imaging 3 hours or less even for a week.

While your 'plan' may work for you, not everyone has that much time to devote to their IM endeavors.

While I agree that making money online is not easy and deserves actual work for success - your plan is impossible for some people.

I think....whatever you truly believe is what will be true for you. If you think its easy then it will be. If you think its hard then it will be. It depends on the type of person you are, if you have been in IM for more than 2 months and are still chasing around the method of the day/week then your not smart, no offense. A smart IM'er sets goals and find methods that work (take action), works on more than 1 method at a time (don't put all your eggs in one basket), and knows when to move on when something isn't working. It's 90% mindset I'm telling you.

  Johny, Having all of the proper tools, mentorship, and still failing is a sign of misalignment. You have to be laser-focused and committed to taking massive action. If things aren't completely working, make slight adjustments until they are working. Then, let your business take off. Nothing works perfectly all the time...Good luck!

  If the have the tools and are putting in hardwork but aren't making
  money then they don't have the knowledge or aren't taking the right
  actions.

It is not easy, whoever says it is is a "guru" and is dreaming, selling dreams like countless product launches we've all seen.

But, why not throw some mud and see what sticks? It has worked for me so far..

Then get rid of the ones that don't perform and focus on those that do perform.

  We have all got to realize that the only guys who are earning money online is the product owner.
  
  I was sucked into this then realized its just scam.
  
  There is no such thing as a money making system.
  
  The true way to make money online, is working hard and knowing what you are doing.
  
  I will say this, the most easiest way to ever make money online, is simply sell your own product. In my eyes, that's the only true way to make a nice steady income.
  
  Just remember, if some one is selling a system that is earning them $15000 a month, then ask your self this, why would they be mad enough to sell it?

I even saw a figure given by two very respected article marketers that they pooled a large number of IMers and found that over 65% had not made one cent online!

Why is this rate so high?
Because people give up waayyyyy too early.

  The best advice that I have had from here is too find one thing get good at it and you make money
  
  Took me 3 weeks to make money via click bank made 3 sales in a week , now I sell my own security product and it makes a good chunk of cash each month and now I just dabble in IM to get money for some toys

  You have to "take the internet and make it your own!" You know what actions you can sustain long enough to see profit. Easily bored? Don't become an article rewriter, for example. Don't feel comfortable with automation or outsourcing and want to do everything yourself? Choose a topic that is exciting and will hold your interest for a long time. Introverted and don't want to interact with the public? Don't do SEO services for local companies. Outgoing and love to meet people face to face? Try local lead generation.
  
  But if you consider yourself desperate, try any and all of the above until you pull yourself up, are back on your feet, and have the luxury of finding the perfect fit for you.

I'd like to think that making money online can be simple, but not easy. There's hard work and long hours involved, especially in the beginning. If you have the passion, the patience and focus, I'm sure you will be able to make it. On the internet, the sky is the limit.

Indeed! I do not know where the idea that making money online is easy or automatic came from. There is this perception that you just put up a website and people will come a-running to buy whatever you have for sale. That's just not how it is.

Doing business online is similar to doing business offline. The same business principles and variables apply, it is only the medium which is different.

We do have to work to make money online, in the same way that we need to work to make money offline.

It's not easy. People want to think it's easy and thus, there's people who sell it.

It takes some business smarts, hard work and patience to achieve success. It's possible though. :-D

Actually it can be easy for some people and be hard for others,
another thing is... i don't know if some people realize this or not
but sometime they make simple stuff into really complicated.

Just make sure, you got your plan and do hard work to achieve it.

Yes unfortunately that is the case and we all just need to do our due diligence and remember there is no such thing as a magic bullet, push
button business, because if there was no one would be selling it!!

Making small amounts isn't too hard, I mean, you can create a single web template and make $50 a month from sales from that. But to get into the significant/full time range, yeah, it's pretty darn hard.
