Tip #1 - Think Outside The Electronics Box
I know electronics and all of the related niches are sexy and always being advertised but don't overlook the HUGE markets that you can really make a killing at since not many people are going after them....
If you go to Amazon, look at all the non-electronic categories. Check out categories like Sports & Outdoors. That category alone has been money in the bank for me.
Tip #2 - Keywords With Qualifiers Are Still Red Hot
Everyone is focused on obtaining exact match domains for their Amazon sites and yet complaining that here are no good domains for their amazon site because all of the exact domains are taken.
Here's the secret....It is still a walk in the park to go after those category keywords with qualifiers for your domains.
Here are some examples (xxxx=category name)
"xxxx for sale"
Very often these keywords with qualifiers are getting great monthly volumes. Use Google Adwords Keyword Tool or Market Samurai to double check the volumes but you will see that you can still have the best of both worlds of getting a great domain AND great monthly volume.
Tip #3 - Don't Be Discouraged By Affiliates On Google's First Page...Be Encouraged!
When you research different product categories on Google, you may not realize this but you've struck gold whenever you see another affiliate site on page 1. So often I hear the opposite that it's a lost cause because it's saturated...nonsense!
Google is a big enough pool for all of you to swim in. You should be encouraged by the fact that if a fellow IM'er cracked Page One on Google, you can too!
Plus, if you're astute enough, you can easily reverse engineer that affiliate's playbook and copy the steps to get your site to Page One.
