What Does the WF Article Directory Do That a WF Blog Will Not Do?

Hello Everyone:

Maybe those of you who have been using the WF Article Directory could let me know what the Article Directory has done for you.

I am asking because I realize that I have underused my WF Blog and would like to really pick up the pace there.

The Article Directory is sort of new to me. I am wondering what tangible benefit it has been and could I benefit from writing to both WF Blog and WF Article Directory every day...

Thanks,
CT

    It attracts readers.

There are currently 32 viewing it, and that's while it's very new and not yet well-known. I doubt if there are more than 1 or 2 looking at blogs, even though they've been there for many years.

    Alexa,
I am going to have to disagree with you on this one. I get quite a few views to my WF blog. In fact, my latest article on there has over 450 views. I am quickly finding it to outrank posting to the article directories and it gets quite a bit of traffic too. I post all my IM related articles to my WF blog.

    Best wishes,
    Sylvia

Yours is exceptional (I've been one of those readers).

I do take your point, of course.

But people don't and can't "browse" the blogs, collectively. They look at yours because it's yours and we all know it's going to be interesting to read. That's your reputation, not the fact that it's a blog, in other words. Whereas with the Articles folder, people will say "Ooh, there'll be interesting stuff here to read" and look through collectively. So there's some built-in traffic even without needing to be Sylvia Rolfe. This is all I'm saying ...

Awe, thanks sweety. I never looked at it that way, I simply knew the search engine power this place has and like to take advantage of it. I just thought those that read it, do so because it was there LOL. And I like posting to it and for the couple extra seconds it takes I'll keep doing it.

        Best wishes,

This is revealing info. I never even thought of posting to the WF article section. I'll have to check it out.

I completely disagree with you on this one.

I have a number of blogs that I simply post my articles to, and I have avid readers on all of them. They all bring in their own income streams and are the exact same articles I post to the directories.

I have even started a new one yesterday, that is my test of sorts to see if I am even going to bother with article directories at all anymore, because I am seeing some really positive results with the ones I already have.

    Best wishes,

Paul is correct. I was talking about setting up a test blog on one of my own sites, not my WF blog.

And I still don't agree with you.

    It says no ads.

Writing high quality content that isn't selling anything is not an ad. Yes, I add in a link back to my main site about article marketing, but how is that any different than my sig file that would point to my sites anyways. The article itself is NOT an ad.

Not too mention, if there was an issue with it, I've been utilizing it almost since they were given to us and never been told I couldn't do that.

And I know for a fact Allen has even seen my blog, because when we first got them he was asking to see if there were any that had been customized, and I pointed him to mine, since at that time I had it completely decked out in different colours.

    Night all,

Here's the difference as I see it ... excluding search engine traffic, which can benefit your blog or your article, your WF blog relies on someone knowing you or following one of your posts to your blog. The article directory attracts people browsing who may not know you or may not see one of your posts.

They both serve as points of entry into your world. Use them wisely.
