First Product Launch, Is This Possible?

Hey Warriors,

Just wondering if it is really possible for someone without authority of some sort, no contacts and no affiliates or JVs (basically starting from scratch) to be able to launch a digital product and make a bunch of sales.

And if possible, is there a specific process he should follow after finding a niche, get the right keywords and have a site ready with the product?

Any thoughts? Frank Kern says it's so easy to pull it off that anybody can make another ebook...do you think so?

Definitely. My first ebook made me about $10,000 - $15,000 and was a fantastic learning experience.

Everyone started with nothing. You have to go out there and make contacts, build stuff and generally make things happen.

In my case I invested a massive amount of time developing JV partnerships with the key people in my market. I ultimately ended up giving them far more than I made myself but that's the price you pay.

There are plenty of other routes you can go, that just happens to be the one that worked/works for me.

    I've done this.

Put it on Clickbank. Set your price and your affiliate commission higher than anyone else's in the niche. Be sure you have far-and-away the nicest sales page and the most complete product (audio, video, e-book). Add continuity if you can.

Advertise to affiliates in the appropriate places (CB Marketplace, jvnotifypro, here). You will make sales if your sales page is good enough.

      Definitely possible!

All you need is dedication, self belief and a lot of hard work.

You do not need to buy every piece of JV launch material that you come across.

If you need support with your first product launch then you could not have come across a better place than here to get free advice.

If in doubt ask, then ask again.

I think it is perfectly feasible to have a five figure first product launch.

Do your research, target people who you think could help you with your product launch, 10 people might turn you down but the 2 who agree to help could be the only 2 you need for success.

All you need to really bank is just one really good affiliate. Some will pull in $10k a month on just one product, and if you are lucky to have them promoting your product you will make a lot in return.

This post is wrong on so many counts I don't know where to start.

First of all, the idea that a beginner can only make a lousy product is totally FALSE.

The idea that you have to be an expert to make a quality product is ALSO false.

Pretty much every guru out there launched their first product in a NON-IM niche. Russell Brunson's first product was about potato guns. Did he have a PhD in potatoes?

No, he went to forums for people who were into that stuff, found out what their questions were, and then found experts who could answer those questions. He did some manuals and some interviews and BOOM - instant info product.

His first couple of products - both in non-IM niches - made him something like $250,000 his senior year of college.

All you have to do to make money online is find people who have questions and sell them the answers. Literally, that is it.

You can do that if you're a rank beginner or if you have TONS of experience.

I make $3,000 a week with ONE Clickbank product.

It's in a niche that I knew nothing about until I started doing research. I found out what worked and what didn't, and created a product that meets people's needs.
My refund rate is very low, and not a day goes by that I don't get an e-mail telling me how my product changed someone's life.

If you create a good quality product then heck yeah you can make a lot of money, but if you create well junk or just copy from someone else then you know the answer lol
Should you create your own product if you don't have a list and just starting out? yeah why not... like I said if you know what you're doing you'll be fine.

If you're product is good and everything looks nice and non-scammy, then just do a bit of promotion and it will sell.

Awesome thread; do you do anything different for non IM launches? Trying to get a launch done the 31, we'll see how it goes though...

I would like to thanx everyone for the feedback.

Obviously i asked the question because that's my situation and i want to launch my first product. I considered myself a beginner for too long now and i want to step up and make a wage with as i got my first kid due in two weeks. I still hold a job so no pressure there. Anyway here's is the situation:

There is very competitive market- NOT IM -which i'm passionated about and i defenetly have practical experince in the topic.
I did some "exact match" keyword research looking for terms with organic competition less than 50,000 and that was easy.

Checked out the sponsored ads, healthy as well. Went to clickbank to look for relevant products, the choice is there to be picked.

What I would love to do is to sell a low priced ebook and then upsell a private membership. I could set up the whole business, the product and the membership, but i have no list and i'm not seasoned at the traffic game, hence the jv.

what i would do is focus on "where your customer is" and "who has your list"

when you take this approach rather than the "dude promote my stuff" you focus on value and you focus on segments of the market you can help most...

for example... if you had a book about playing guitar...

think of how you could adapt it for:

    - guitar tabs
    - chords
    - beginner guitarists

ect... focus on giving value and teaching specific and you will go far.
