Getting payments from amazon.com in England.

I live in England, however I primarily use Amazon.com because of hubpages and their insistence of using the American version...

How do I get paid in England for the commission I am owed, I am sure there are many thousands of people with this very problem like me...

I do have a Barclays bank account with Visa, does this help?

You can't get paid via direct debit. The only option is through cheque. For American associates, there is a fee of $15 per cheque, but they waive that fee for international associates, because international associates have no other option.

Buuut as you may know your bank here in the UK will charge a fee for processing your cheque. Sucks, don't it?

I would still much rather stick to Amazon US rather than Amazon UK for two reasons. There are more customers in the US, and Amazon UK has a cap on how much commission you get, so if you sell a very high ticket item, you will not get paid the 4, 6, 6.5 or 7% that you should get. What a rip off.

So they issue a cheque once you reach $100?

Cheques of $100 initially. But like Clickbank you can choose other intervals of money. It's certainly worth sticking with the US Amazon though because of their massively increased traffic over the UK counterpart.
