When Targeting Different Keyword Phrases, Should I Use New Post or New Page? - Wordpress

Hello Warriors,

I am setting up a few wordpress sites that are going to be focusing on getting adsense clicks.

One thing that I'm thinking about and not sure if it even makes a difference is, when putting up new articles, do you think it would be best to put them up as new posts, or new pages?

All my articles will be targeting completely different keywords.

Like I said before I'm not sure if it even makes a difference but if I'd really appreciate it if anyone could point out the advantage in using either one.

Thanks and best of luck for 2011...

Each post is technically its own page, so just a new post is fine :-)

I'd recommend the new Post, because if you have too many Pages in WordPress, that will break most WP templates, since page links are often handled differently.

    Use a post.

Typically only use pages for standard stuff like about us, contact us, privacy policy, ect. You can use it for whatever you want, just most people do that.

Use posts when you plan on making a lot of them, just make sure you SEO them properly. Pages are only for like long-term single things like contact, sometimes a landing page, etc.

Definitely posts. More fresh content is better for SEO.

Thanks a lot for your answers.

I have been using posts all along but then started to wonder if my front page would confuse the search engines with so many different articles listed that are optimized for different keywords.

      Thanks again for your responses...
