Does Anyone Else Have a Dummy Site Where They Test New Themes and Plugins?
I've been using this idea for a while now and thought it might benefit some others.
I have a complete Wordpress Blog set up at testsite.mysite.com where I test all new plugins, themes, and wild-assed ideas before I actually add them to a working blog/site.
It gives me a chance to debug themes that may or may not work, as well as plugins that I might want to use if they do what they claim. I also experiment with HTML in posts and pages to see how they might look.
I've got over a dozen plugins and three pages of themes that have checked out so that when I want to start up a new domain I just go find what I need and then add it to the new site.
Really saves a lot of time when I need something new and don't want to take a chance on disrupting a working site or spending hours on a new set-up.
