4 Strategies that worked!

I just consistently do these strategies..

1. Facebook..

a) I use my Facebook account to add Friends
b) I first search for facebook groups related to my niche
c) I add all the members of this facebook group.. (add 20 friends a day only)
d) When I add people on facebook, I first send them a message like "Hi, can I connect with you? We have the same interest and I am hoping we can share information" - In this way, you become more personal to people so they will accept your friend request
e) I paste different information in my wall

2) Craigslist - I put advertisements in craigslist 2 times a day only

3) youtube

a) I paste my video on different forums related to my niche
b) i make "video reply" in youtube videos related to my niche,..

4) Build my List

Just do this consistently for 6 or 7 months and you will find results.. This is not a get rich quick scheme telling you that you will earn 100,000 dollars in just 7 days... lolz!

How about you? what are your strategies??

Question about Facebook - I can "get" your FB friend-adding strategy, but how are you monetising this, or how are you list-building with this? Maybe I am being blonde, but it seems that you have not given us "the missing link" here.

Be very careful when using automated software, because in many cases it can go against the TOS of the website you're accessing with the software.

Being a newbie, you should be very careful when utilizing software - I'd hate to see you get into trouble using something that you know very little about.

I post my videos to about 15 different video sites (most of the videos are watermarked with a link to my squeeze page and also include a link in the description)

Then choose 1 of the videos and link it to a bunch of social media sites including Twitter and Facebook...

I use 2 little known sites to do all this and it takes about 5 minutes

Facebook can work, and a lot of people are taking their focus off Google and SEO (which means less competition).

      My strategy:

      1) Find a Hook in a Big Niche.
      2) Register a domain and host on Wordpress
      3) Find 200 low competition but decent traffic phrases (Market Samurai works well).
      4) Write articles like crazy: 100 go on your blog...100 on Ezinearticles.
      5) All 100 ezinearticles will point to deep posts within your blog using anchor text that post is targeting.
      6) Spin some of your unique content and send one anchor text link to your post...send one anchor text link to your ezinearticle (use 1waylinks, SEOlinkvine, or anything similar).
      7) Work your butt off to get 1,000 unique visits per day to your site.
      8) Once you reach this traffic level...write a free report that has a great "hook" and offer it for the opt-in.
      9) In your report, work in 2-3 related Clickbank recommendations (in a natural way).
      10) Drip 3-4 posts per week for 8 weeks and mix in the occasional product suggestion.

I was able to quit my job with this strategy almost 2 years ago. The key is to provide massive value for free to the visitors of your blog. Mix in some recommendations for premium products (that you beleive in).

Tip: Don't get caught up in launches. Focus on good evergreen products that you have used.

Rusty, this is a very solid plan that works, and will probably continue to work 10 years from now. Why? The answer's very simple - the majority of people dread that four letter word - w o r k ! They'll take one look at the article writing and backlinking that are absolutely necessary to make this work, and immediately dismiss it without even lifting a finger.

Good point. The whole "work" think gets in the way for so many people. I am glad it is kind of tough otherwise I would stress about too much competition.

The fact is...that so many people jump on to the next new thing as soon as a project feels monotonous. There aren't many people who are willing to stick to an action plan these days.

If people would pick a niche and work their butt off racing to get as much helpful and quality content as possible about it online...in the form of articles, videos, free reports, paid reports...they would be shocked what their business would like in 2-3 years.

PPC can burn a lot of cash fast, if you don't have a lot of money to play with I would suggest doing some free marketing first.

See wikipedia for media buying or use the "search" feature on this forum (I can't post links yet).

Exactly, in a way we should be glad if a method is somewhat tedious and requires some work, because that alone will eliminate the majority of your competition!

People want to see instant results online with very little work required - this is the ultimate pipe dream which simply does not exist. It isn't surprising at all then that the failure rate in IM is so high, because people simply don't want to knuckle down and work consistently on something for any length of time. They're treating this as a hobby, and not a business.

I completely agree too about consistency being the key to great success in IM, because if you continually build on what you already have and you can focus only on the important stuff (i.e. follow the 80/20 rule over several years), you'll get an astonishing volume of work done that contributes to your business presence and profits online!

        • Not to sound like a jerk, but most important ingredients and are not methods, just add value and direct targeted traffic, it doesn't matter how you do it these things...just do them consistently.

Adding value (to me) means providing better content, advice, videos, etc. than any other source anywhere.

Go three steps further than your competition. Collect emails and built real relationships.

We all know how to generate traffic, to some degree, but most people don't follow through on their promotions, they don't have the money, or don't make the time. Make time and spend the money (wisely), make the investments.

Keep building superior content and quality links and eventually you will get to where you want to go. Never half ass anything, treat your visitors like they were your friends and family.

Many people don't want to hear this message...because you have to work 16 hour days for a while, but it's the truth.

Grind long enough and you will succeed, that's the best advice anyone can hear.

Ok, off my soap box. Just feeling "no BS" today...

Whatever you do do it in bulk - en masse . . not ONE video but 50, not one CL ad but 100, not one add campaign but 20

and split test everything and track everything. If you do not split test (run similar offers, similar traffic to diff offers etc diff traffic sources to same offers) you will never know what works best and not be able to improve or tweak to improve

I do but only to fire traffic at my own products because I make the full sale price on them (less payment processors) so -I am selling @ $47.00 per unit - thats quite a few clicks before I need a sale to break even

    3) youtube

    a) I paste my video on different forums related to my niche
    b) i make "video reply" in youtube videos related to my niche,..

    4) Build my List

Just do this consistently for 6 or 7 months and you will find results.. This is not a get rich quick scheme telling you that you will earn 100,000 dollars in just 7 days... lolz!

Facebook works for me. If you are consistent and build at a steady rate then it works very very effectively!
I add friends with a very effective white hat method. Then when I have built up a big base I monetise my FB page. It pulls in a lot of sales.

The concept of TRIBE MARKETING is very powerful with FB..It is amazing if you can build a tribe and share stuff on a regular basis and utilize each other's networks...It is FREE promotion and zero cost of advertising!

I consistently go to forums and offer good quality information. In my sig file is a link to a product or website for a free newsletter.

This has worked for me consistently.

GREAT post! I want to try this but I CAN'T.
When I first joined FB, They suggested a list of people I might like to 'friend'. I clicked six and was suspended. Weeks later I clicked three and was suspended again.. It appears some of them had said that they didn't know me. I DO NOT want to lose my FB account. Can somebody please tell me how to build up friends on FB SAFELY. I have asked this question many times on this forum but never had a reply yet. Perhaps this time.......lol

I like Comment Luv plugin on your blog. It's free advertising as you're commenting on other people's sites and building links. People do come, little by little.

But I like your You Tube Tip.

I like what you said about "this is not a get rich quick scheme," apparently, most people haven't figured out that EITHER WAY, it's going to take some effort.

Great thread, great replies, great strategies!

    Mine are the following:

Creating Blogs, building a following, selling information products.

I create high quality content daily, communicate across social networks like a HUMAN BEING instead of some bot, create tons of free reports for people then create awesome info products that are valuable to people.

It may take a bit, but honestly, if you're into building relationships and posting great stuff, your data goes viral. I just had a woman post a blog post of mine to her friends on Facebook. 50 Hits, 10 Twitter Followers, 2 Sales on a product on Blogging!

Ultimately, I like posting an article on one of my blogs, posting another article similar to it on Ezinearticles.com, posting a vid on youtube and linking them to one another.

For some reason, Google catches on to that and kind of classifies it as "important." Then I share them all across social networks.

    Great thread!

        Thanks Clint!

I am not a person who is in the IM Niche...but just like to share with people what is working in the Fitness Niche.

Too many people talking about theories on the WF in my opinion.

[+] I don't claim to know Scrapebox or Xrumer.
        [+] I don't use proxies for anything.

But I do know how to make a sustainable 6 figure income in niche marketing.

It is pretty easy and stress free if done the right way.

Thanks again Clint, for the kind words

I like the list, I like the comment people don't like to work. Most people are lazy and want something for nothing. However this is not work to me. I have done hard work both physical and mentally hard work, this is just fun. Also I love this saying "If it was easy everybody would be doing it" Well it seems like everybody is doing it, just not making a living at it. But, if you keep at it... work the system the system will work for you.

    • Every competitive business has a high failure rate, probably 80 to 90 percent of the people on this forum will quit eventually. Those that don't quit will make it.

I do SEO writing and I see clients come and go, I hire writers, I see them come and go. I've heard every excuse in the book...illnesses, blizzards, the dog ate my homework. Sadly, none of these things really ever happened.

It's just hard work, writing is hard work, linking is hard work, SEO is hard work, and a lot of people won't do it. Poor *******s, they are doomed for life.

      Peace.

i have tried all of these methods but not consistently. I do still do the Facebook and Twitter work as I have found a few methods that work. Otherwise, I do a lot of blog commenting, guest blogging, posting articles on Ezine articles and other directories, and forum posting.

I do make sure I post everything I write to my favorite social bookmark sites that have been sending me a lot of traffic and I have posted free reports on places like scribd and other such sites.

It all adds up little by little if you just keep doing something day after day. I want to get more into the video marketing aspect but need to learn and practice more and with 2 kids it can often be hard to find quiet time to tape anything.

Excellent piece- and so true. My dad built a successful Grocery store from nothing - and if you don't know, grocery stores have some of the slimmest profit margins and highest failure rate amoungs brick and mortar businesses. He's had half a dozen competitors across the street tell him they would bury him, but he is still there, they are not. His secret? Well, you just said it.

        Thanks.
