Questions about Article Marketing:

I use 3-4 top article directories to get backlinks and some traffic to my blog.

I always write 100% unique content by hand -rewriting on same or similar subject as my blog post. As I understood that duplicate content is not allowed and ezine specially frowns on less than 70% unique anyways.

I have been reading many posts here, some are suggesting to post post on your site than place it as it is on other article directories and other varied opinions on it.

Question:
My question is if you use same article as it is, or with only title change does not that cause duplicate content issue? How do you go around it? Because I am spending 1-2 hours on each post, which may or may not be quality but sure is waste of time, where could be doing more backlinking.

Burning question:

I have seen one person use (by chance) same article with almost no uniqueness, same title, just varied anchor text links on 12 different sites. Funny thing is it is same articles with different pen names. When I check copyscape, it does not show any problem, how it is to be? Is there a way to do this?

I am working hard by doing all on my own and creating unique version for nothing, any suggestions? Thank you all.

    You were misinformed.

EZA does not require "unique content" (of any percentage at all) and never has done.

Like many other professional article marketers (and our clients, for those who have them), I have about 1,000 articles of my own published on EZA all of which had previously been published and indexedon my own sites first in identical form.

EZA specifically invite and solicit from authors any articles of adequate length and literacy which they've previously published elsewhere.

They do this on their blog, in their course, and in very helpful, instructive emails which they send out to new authors opting in for them.

They also make available a special plug-in for people with Wordpress sites to be able to publish articles on their own site first and then submit them to EZA for later publication there.

This little thread, recounting one person's recent experiences with submitting articles published a year or two ago (and still online) may interest you.

And in this longer, highly informative thread you'll see a large number of successful, experienced article marketers explaining in detail their reasons for always publishing their articles elsewhere before submitting them to EZA.

    No; it doesn't.

That isn't "duplicate content" within the meaning of those words that you're worrying about. It's syndicated content.

There isn't an "it" to go around.

Yes, I agree the "different pen-names" is a very funny thing.

Where do people get these statistics from?

It seems somebody is trying to sidetrack you.

As Alexa explained, there is no Duplicate Content Penalty at EzineArticles, Google or anywhere else.

It is a myth, just like the myth I created here called the Original Content Penalty.

@Alexa, Thanks, I just re-read the both forum entries. I like ezine and my articles publishes quickly. I guess I was misinformed about the duplicated content issue. I am happy to hear this as it will save me lot of time.

What is special EZA plugin called? I saw you mentioned in other forum entry too but no name was given.

I agree with syndicated content as long it is written by same person right? but how about a case where person has used different pen names to post it everywhere. I guess one has to prove that you are also all these 12 people and own those sites. Alexa, I have read you many times on this forum, and I think you are smart enough know that I do not funny "ha ha" but "interesting" that person has at least 12 copies on different names using same anchor texts to same site. Thank you. I always learn a lot here.

@ Matt: I heard/read it one of the forum post, I can not remember it where. Lot of my learning comes form forums and blogs about IM. I can understand some can be misleading or have a few ways of doing things.

@tpw; You created the myth? I will surely check it out. :-) I am glad it is a myth, as I said it will save me some quality time. I am glad I asked here. Thank you.
