Social Media Effect On Holiday Sales

According to a recent report by social commerce marketplace, it is noted that shoppers that are referred through social media channels are 10 times more likely to make a purchase than those from a comparison shopping engine.

Does anyone here have good results advertising on Facebook?

What is your conversion ratio?

Does facebook fan page works?

I don't think this refers to simply advertising on social media platforms like Facebook. I think these stats would be more related to things like fan pages and groups. And I would tend to agree with those results.

Did they really need a study to prove this though - it's kind of obvious, isn't it?

If you are a member of a fan page then it means you have already formed some positive opinion of that brand/company. It also means you are going to see a lot more regular communication from that brand/company if they are using their fan page effectively. It also means you get to see other people interacting with the brand and hear all the positive feedback they are giving.

Of course this is going to turn you into a much stronger brand ambassador. It's the same way people who go through a well structured email follow up sequence are a lot more likely to buy than those who just land on your sales page once.

I agree with Will. Social media platforms help build a relationship and trust. This is what makes it easier to sell. Even if you use Facebook ads. Don't use them to do cold selling. Use them to get your prospect to your fan page, where you provide relevant quality content. From there push them into your sales funnel.
