  • People are allowed to publish Ezine articles on their site. Read the TOS.

But it looks like the site that you linked to only has the description.

    • so is it right for them to just take a part of the article without citing the source

  • That is one of the things that Ezinearticles is for, to let other people use your articels on their websites. They are supposed to keep your links intact, but I have looked at some of the posts on this site (not all of them) and they are very short, not like articles from EZA.

Maybe I am misunderstanding your question.

  • You know smartdoctor...

For all the people who whinge about EZA...I love them!

I may just be lucky but as long as I follow their TOS, they give me FREE traffic, approve my articles generally within 2-3 days and make up decent chunk of the traffic/income I get.

    *shrugs*

  • First off, Did you contact the owner of the site? Did you contact EZA about the violation of the TOS by the site owner?

Second, You WANT, and should PURSUE getting your articles syndicated. When your articles are syndicated per the TOS of EZA it carries your links with them to a wide variety of sites giving you additional backlinks and traffic. It improve the ranking of your own domains assuming.....

Hopefully you are sending your traffic to your own site, and not just redirecting to an offer. Having your own domain name and publishing all of your content there first, and getting it indexed before submitting to EZA and other article directories is very important.

    Barry

    P.S. I'm sending you a PM.

    • Thank you I will be giving you the feedback
  • I agree with Barry - what you should really want is your articles syndicated so that you'll get more backlinks and traffic from related sites.

I don't see the point in limiting your article submission to only ezine articles you're really missing out on a lot of traffic. Plus it's fairly easy to submit articles to multiple directories, web 2 blogs and wikis all with a little extra effort.

    • The OP is making the point that other sites are taking his content and not giving him any credit. There is no link back to his site so what is the point of syndication? These sites are not abiding by the T&C and are breaking the law. He is doing all the hard work and fellow IM Marketers are effectively doing the same as walking into a shop, taking something without paying for it.

I have had many articles 'published' by other sites. Very very few actually follow the T&C. Majority of them do not bother to provide any sort of backlink at all. If anything about 15% follow the T&C.

I think you have to publish tonnes and tonnes of useful content to make it worthwhile when it comes to backlinks.

Not only is it "right", but it's the primary purpose of publishing articles there.

That's what article "directories" are: sources of free content for people's websites, newsletters and ezines. That's why Ezine Articles is called "Ezine Articles": they're articles for people's ezines (and nowadays more for their websites, too).

If it helps anyone, here's what I do when people re-publish my work from EZA:-

Scenario 1: they include my resource box (normal):

I contact them with a standard, pre-written email (if necessary just addressed to "info" and "admin" and "support" at theirdomain.com), thanking them for re-publishing my work and offering them future copies of related, similar content not yet published in article directories. This is called "syndication" and is the purpose of submitting my work to EZA in the first place, and is obviously something I want to promote as much as possible. I don't write anything specially for their site: I just send them by email copies of future articles after publication and indexation on my own site, of course, at about the same time as I submit them to EZA, or a day before.

Scenario 2: they don't include my resource box (unusual):

I send them a different pre-written, standard email alerting them to the fact that they appear to have made a mistake in not doing so, and that I'd be very grateful if they'd please re-instate my resource-box and links, in accordance with EZA's terms of service. This normally resolves the situation and takes me back to the procedure above. If it doesn't, then a week later I send them a pre-written, standard DMCA notice with a copy to their registrar, their host and Google. After which I don't think about it any more.

    End of story.

It's terribly simple: all you really need, to cover the various contingencies, is three pre-written, standard emails.

It takes up very little time, and the benefits to an article marketer are enormous.

    Yes, certainly.

To the best of my knowledge, the only article directory that requires previously unpublished content is "Buzzle", which (like many professional article marketers) I never use at all, for that exact reason.
