Google website optimiser - How do you do A/B landing page tests as an Affiliate?!

hey,

thanks to the help of a fellow warrior, I've found that using the G website optimizer I can split test my landing pages and see which one get's a higher CTR to merchant.

I want to split test 2 landing pages for my affiliate review site and see which one achieves a higher CTR.

Now seeing as I'm promoting a CB hoplink, the 'conversion page' is the merchants sale page.

Just in case the merchant can't paste my conversion code onto his sales page, what else can I do to track my landing page CTR rate?

big thanks in advance!

I have a solution which I've used for a long time.

It works two ways and is quite simple.

Setup a redirect page with the refresh page - if you don't know how to do this ı can easily put up an example for you here. The affiliate link becomes another page on your site and then redirects to the affiliate page...

In google analytics when you look at the landing page site overlay you can see the CTR of the link (if you have two or more links to the same affiliate page you need more than one redirect page to track each link).

Also in website optimiser when you run a test you set up the conversion page to your redirect page and off you go...!

This way you can see which landing page converts better.

      Hope this helps..

Let me know if you need more info..
