New Year's Resolution: Using Facebook Responsibly

I've had a Facebook account for about 4 years now, and you could count the number of times I've used it on one hand. Knowing that it is now a permanent fixture in our social culture, I'm interested in learning how to use it responsibly and I am looking for a single source (book, website, PDF document) that sums up everything that we self-employed business professionals need to know). Is anyone aware of such a resource? (Also, what's the proper protocol with the 'like' button for comments? I 'like' every comment I receive because they're my friends and always have something nice to say. Is it poor form to 'like' every comment?)

    There's some really good reading here on the forum regarding FB. Just use the search function up above in the red bar. Different people use FB in different ways. I personally don't hit like on every comment unless it's a truly helpful or funny post. Likewise, IMHO I don't think commenting on every status or link is considered kosher. My mother does this and drives me crazy lol Overall, FB is an awesome tool for any IMer, I love using it to promote what I'm doing.

    The best source of FB info I have found is without doubt Ed Dale. He really seems to understand what FB are trying to achieve, and he was one of the first 'IM gurus' to really understand how important FB would become for IM - he first started mentioning this in his 2008 Thirty Day Challenge.

    Ed's FB knowledge translates into first class FB training. I am a member of Ed's Challenge Plus Programme, which is currently $37 per month (I think). He has already shared a lot of FB training in this membership site, and I know that he will be delivering a very detailed FB course in it this month (Jan 2011).

    My recommendation would be to visit Facebook Pages | Facebook for lots of good info on creating FB Pages (which are what you need to focus on for IM), and sign-up for Challenge Plus (Challenge Plus).
