Ebay Affiliate Program

I would like to try to make some money promoting items on Ebay. I would like to experiment with niche blogging and want to promote specific items on my blog that are Ebay items.

Is this the correct Ebay affiliate program I should refer to?

    Hi Stef,

Yes, that is the correct Ebay affiliate program.

Ebay's Affiliate Program used to be under Commission Junction (CJ) but now Ebay have their own affiliate program.

      Hi Stef,

      That is the correct link.

Just be aware that they don't accept everyone and that sometimes their decisions take a long time. When I applied several months ago, I got immediate acceptance in all the eBay markets except the U.S. right away. It was about three weeks before I got confirmation of acceptance in the U.S. market.

And I know many folks who were rejected one or more times.

If I remember, they ask for a website. I don't remember if it was mandatory or not. But if you add a website, be sure it is a good website, not something they might consider spammy.

One thing they are working hard on - for good or bad - is the idea of affiliate generated customer stickiness. In other words, is the traffic you are bringing to eBay multiple buyer traffic or just one shot deals.

Reading between the lines, they probably got burned by their high signup bonus by some unscrupulous affiliates and are now looking for affiliates that deliver long term customers.

If you read the affiliate forums, you will find discussions of this issue.
