I created a report and converted it into PDF. Throughout the report I have hyperlinked some text but when I open the PDF document the hyperlinks don't work except for one which is my website url at the end of the report.

Anybody know what might be wrong?

Cheers

If you're using Word 07, download the pdf convertor from the MS website. That preserves hyperlinks so long as you don't put them in the header or footer. freepdfconvert.com preserves hyperlinks and so does Open Office. Guess the pdf convertor you used doesn't preserves links correctly.

    Hi, Jan.
Believe it or not - this seems to be a big issue... If you use http://... there is usually no problem, but once you try to do the "anchor text" - that's when it happens.
All the free PDF creating software cannot do it, most paid softwares can't either.

I found a way around it.
    - Log into GMAIL (create an account if you don't have it yet)
    - On top on the left there will be a tab called Google Docs, click on it.
    - Upload your Word file in there, the editor will open
    - File > Download File As > PDF
    - Enjoy

I am pretty sure it would work for OpenOffice as well...

There are so many different ways to do this. I work with VA's that have software that they use to create pdf's for me. But thanks for the great tips.

I use Cute PDF writer, not only does it preserve your links in windows but also for Mac users as well.
