SEO is the best method for sure. You have to get into the mind of your visitors. You want people searching for what you are selling. I.e. if you sell bowling balls, you would want traffic from people searching for 'buy bowling balls', or 'best bowling ball'. These are known as buying keywords and will get you far more sales than normal traffic from blogs and articles which often have curious visitors simply clicking your url just to see what your site is about.

SEO for me too, mainly for the longevity of the traffic and the super targeted visitors. I enjoy article marketing, but find it suits some niches better than others. You cant beat SEO for long term traffic, the key is to undertake very detailed keyword research before you even consider writing any content. Get this right, and you can rank for keywords and drive traffic within days.

^^^ OMG this! Started playing with physical product affiliate type stuff. Steady growth from this (and buyers!). Need backlinks to back this up too. Articles focus on:
        _productname_ reviews
        best _productname_
        cheap _productname_
        _productname_ comparison
buy _productname_ (or) buy _productname_ online
productTYPE instead of NAME works also, but as usual do keyword research to determine volume/etc.
The name of the game isn't just simply "traffic", but "converting traffic".

Blogs best way to market your website.

Article marketing is also good tool but not better then blogging.

SEO is also good for some websites.

So SEO and Blogging are two best tools for internet website marketing.

What are you referring to when you say "site visiting tools"?

I'm a huge fan of diversification. I learned the hard way not to rely 100% on any one thing... multiple offers, multiple traffic methods, multiple sources within those methods.

Twice in my career online have I seen my income dwindle to 0 literally over night and I learned that diversification lesson the hard way and won't ever forget it.

Currently I have two favorite traffic sources, SEO where 50% of my effort and traffic goes to, and PPV where the other 50% of my effort and traffic goes to.

PPV is interruption marketing using pop ups served by legitimate adware. Adware has changed over the years and is coming out of the shadow of it's evil, sneaky teen age years. It has matured into a main stream traffic source that is accepted by the major affiliate networks now. That's what we coach at PPV Playbook.

SEO is the foundation of my business now... It's the traffic source that evens out the ups and downs that come with paid traffic.

I employ an online business strategy that we call Asset Stacking but that is a conversation for another time and place though...

The one that gets me the most traffic.

This may sound obvious, however each site of mine has a different leader (Video Marketing, Niche Market Websites, Affiliates, Document Marketing, Penny Clicks, Google etc...).

What works for one site, does not mean it would work for another. So again the one that gets the most traffic is my favorite.

The only service I know of and have implemented on my site is FeedJit. It allows me to see visitors from any state that visit my site & blog, and how frequent they stop by. And, I can also see the time frame in which they stopped by to look at what is published, in addition to how many times repeatedly they return.

Getting traffic is like a team work of several methods. Does anyone honestly just use one method at a time? I mean, do you just SEO your site and don't do any promotion at all? Or would you do article marketing without having your site SEO'd too? I understand the OP asks about the FAVORITE method, but that probably shouldn't even matter because for good results you will still have to do those less favorite methods too.

You get more traffic by posting more often on her blog - every post is another possible value in the other - the more his followers to your site more often if you send your new job postings to the list correctly . To make more contacts and increase the chances that someone will ask you to mail client on your blog or on its behalf, saving you more days, besides yourself later.

I have never tried video and feel I'm really missing out.

I think anywhere in which you have developed trust and respect of the people there is likely to refer traffic. But in terms of targeted traffic, as mentioned before, but with emphasis on the specific market (I wouldn't expect many Moms to follow a link to a site on growing beards).

What I meant by those visiting sites are the sites like TrafficSwarm or sites in which you would review other sites, thus they would getting a visitor.
