paydotcom use only PayPal for their money transactions. But some customers hope to pay directly through the credit cards. Isn't it a disadvantage?

If a company uses Paypal, then the buyer can still use their credit card without having a Paypal account.

The only thing is, they might not realise it.

I worked for an online company making sales around the world and I'd have to point this out to some customers. It was a case of scrolling to the bottom to pay by credit card. Not obvious, but that's because Paypal prefer it if everybody just joins.

It is a slight disadvantage but the majority of the time people are able to pay by credit card through Paypal.

Mike Filsaime is working on getting this implemented (so I hear) although is easier said than done due to chargeback issues and a whole other stable of things.

The other thing to remember, is that unlike Clickbank, customers pay you directly rather than paying Clickbank.

If you're taking Paypal directly you need a business account to take credit cards (free, you just have to be further 'verified')

I would say in anything other than the Internet Marketing Niche you're absolutely guaranteed to get less sales is you only offer PayPal.

I'd definitely look to offer a Credit Card option, such as Authorize.net, right from the very earliest. That's in addition to PayPal

It will up your conversion rate straight away in most niches.

I listened to Mike Filsaime in his reason to create Paydotcom.com

He created Paydotcom to address the issues that Clickbank didn't want to handle.

Problems like: Cannot communicate with the affiliates, bi-weekly payment, No Paypal, etc.

That was 2-3 years ago. Now that clickbank offers paypal, that problem is out of the issue.

These are some of the reasons why Mike created Paydotcom.

Some may have forgotten that it didn't start out as Paypal only. It also worked with Stormpay, until that company decided to stop processing many online sales.

Maybe at some point they will add another processor. There was talk of them adding authorize.net but I'm not sure what happened to that idea.
