Interview With Allan Says

For what it's worth.

I was drilling deep in the warroom today and found a report that was written in 1993 by Bryan Kumar, interviewing Allan Keys. Great Report to say the least and one that everyone should take the time to read.

One thing which struck me was Allan's mindset not only towards IM but life in general. One quote really stuck out as it applies to FEAR and it's effect on TAKING ACTION.

Allen states,

Faith, belief, confidence....etc expand you
Fear, doubt, worry....etc contract you

This is elaborated on in much more detail in the report but you get the basic drift.

One thing which I was really reminded of is that the "magic button" of IM is not in the systems or methods we use but in the mindset we have as we use them.

Feel free to expand or add if anyone cares to.

    I like your take.

Unless you hone your mental tools the physical tools which you use - systems, blogging, article, etc - won't bring the results you desire. Don't look outside for something to change your life because the outside constantly changes and can't be depended upon to bring lasting results. That's why becoming attached to any one program or system is a mistake. Look within. Change your state of mind and your circumstances will change.

If you're programmed to consistently use fear as a motivator you tend to receive negative results in the long run. Whatever you experience in the outside world is simply the product of your predominant mental state.

The contraction effect of negative emotions is powerful. Choosing negative emotions makes you shrink. Choosing positive emotions makes you grow.

Nope... he refuses all interview requests. He kept referring me to his sister, Crescent.

Go through Allen's and Crescent's cousin, Pipe. You'll probably have to twist his arm, though...

              Oh yes you did...

Actually, I've been telling people for a long time to work their way past all the shiny stuff up front and look for some of the gold buried further back.

I was going to say, isn't Alan Keys a former Republican presidential candidate?

I think you have it wrong, his name is actually Allen Says.

Regardless of how his name is spelled, he has a ton of great wisdom to share. I'd also refer you to another short video that an esteemed warrior did about him which touched on his thoughts about the formation of this very forum. If I'm not mistaken, it's in the War Room and it's by Paul Coleman (ic7).

Interesting. I still have ebooks from wayback by Mr. Says
himself and I read them occasionally... most of them free
by the way. I think I even got one classic from him many
years back - The Magic Story. It really does pay to dig
deeper in the War Room for such classics from the boss
    himself,
