Do NameCheap accept Paypal payments?

    Bur may I ask if there is no credit card attached to your paypal account can you still use the paypal account to do your purchase or must you attached one?

  • Yes they do, but it's an odd little 2 step. You can load funds into your namecheap account from paypal, and then pay it from the namecheap account.

    If you want to get the exact amount so you don't leave money sitting around in the account, you have to go through the renewal or purchase until you get the exact amount including taxes, and then transfer that amount from paypal, and then pay it from the NC account.

    I haven't seen that with any other company that takes Paypal. Could be just me, I don't do a lot of online purchases.

    • LLoyd, I always found this a little off-putting. Though it really doesn't take much time to do so, that extra step probably annoys quite a few people.

      It'd not be hard at all for them to rectify this issue, and doing so would help appease many people, in my opinion. It can become time consuming to do this especially if you have many domains to buy and renew.

  • Really thanks to all of for the very much detailed process. I have been trying to purchase a new domain name with godaddy but they won't accept my paymentg or I should say paypal won't let me make the purchase because there is no credit card attached to the paypal account. But the account of course is loaded.

    Well I think I am off here to go buy myself a couple of domain names.

    It is easiest to make one balance payment (eg $100) and then draw funds from that.
