When is the right time to monetize your site?

What measurables should you be looking at when determining whether to wait or to monetize your website.
Should you wait until you have a certain number of UV's? Or until you have hit a certain number of web pages?

  • This is entirly upto you. I never wait though, and add the optin form straight away.

    After some traffic i monetize the sites pages. Some sites i monetize from day 1.

    • Sometimes I buy a domain I want, load Wordpress, upload a theme, and then...because I am too busy tending other sites already producing revenue...I don't get around to finishing the new ones for a while.

      BUT...I go ahead and put links on the unfinished sites to my established ones, and often the click-throughs from any visitors who happen by those just-started sites end up bringing me some revenue.

      I guess that's a form of monetization from Day One, even with a barely started site.
    • Unsure. I had read one time that sometimes its harder to do link exchanges if your site full of aff. links/ adsense etc...
