Im loooking to buy a email targetd list. Ive found a few places but very costly.
Looking for leads in illinois in a certain zip code.
Have anyone use this company emailingdoneright I got them to come down on the price. $99 for 20k leads the bad thing is that they will not give me the list.
Ive never done email marketing before. Im going to try to see how much business i can get from it. Im trying to get clients to come to my fitness studio.

Should do a email blast?
or
Should I do a postcard mailer

When you say "targeted", is it a list of people that are actually into fitness? This is pretty important, else you could be wasting your money on people who have on intention of ever visiting your studio. Personally I would prefer to use that money on Adwords (depending on the cost per click).

wow i didn't think you could target people that way. Adwords are like paid per click correct. Does that really work? to get people in my fitness studio.
How can i go about getting that?

$99 for 20,000 leads isn't bad, I'd run a test. Send out an email broadcast with some type of coupon offer, "mention this email and get your first month's membership for free." Then you'll know if the broadcast got you any results.

If the email broadcast gets you some walkins then try the postcard approach and see if it does better.

You are renting their list, not buying it. If you wanted to buy a quality list of 20,000 targeted leads (if they truly are) you'd pay a LOT more than $99.

Yeah, of course they won't give you the list! For $99? LOL That would be insane of them. They're renting you use of the list, essentially, and even then $99 is super cheap. I would only do it if the $99 wasn't going to hurt you to totally lose. I suspect you won't get much response for something that cheap, but you will only know by testing.

I would advise against doing this, If you have the budget I would suggest testing the water with facebook or adwords.

$99 – 20k targeted visitors, is likely to result in little or no sales or sign ups.

        Save your money.

You can create you own list if you offer a free ebook and you collect email addresses in order to send it to the users. Make a squeeze page, offer the free ebook, collect email addresses, and you’ll build your own email list.

You’ll have to pay around $20 per month for an auto-responder but your email list can bring you a lot of money if you find subscribers who accept your offers, and keep buying all the products you offer.

There are many nice free ebooks everywhere. Fitness is a known topic.
