Nearly Got a Trojan By Clicking on a Website - How to make sure my own websites are OK for sure
I clicked on a website (about events mangement - a legimate business website selling an information product, much like many of the IM websites), then my Webroot software showed Webroot had blocked a dangerous trojan from infecting my computer, which could steal financial information etc.
That led me to think of my own site, and for all of us running sites.
If I make a very simple site, from a plain html template, then how do I know for sure that a hacker has not placed trojan code onto it like this? I can't re-check my html every day!
So I wonder:
- What protections can I put in place on my site to stop this happening?
- How to do an ongoing check to make sure the site is always clean?
I want to protect my customers, as I have a responsibility to them if they click onto my site.
thank you,
