The money is REALLY in the List!

Just read on Seth Godin's blog about a company in the fashion industry. All they did was create a newsletter/list.

They went on to grow and get 2,5 million subscribers, Sold their business in August for $125 million to Comcast.

Now that's some damn good ROI.

It's this site.

>CANT POST ULRS ; SORRY

Now why are you so bitter? Seems like Internet is this centuries goldmines

Well said. As Michael Rasmussen puts it...

"The money is in your list of buyers, not freebie-seeking subscribers."

Over the years I've had too many freebie-seekers in my lists. What I tried to ensure I built a list of buyers rather than freebie-seekers was to offer the same 'free' guide I was offering before for $1 instead.

Yes, my list was smaller than I'd experienced before, but I made more money from the people that paid that initial dollar than I made from my previous lists ALTOGETHER!

...and these people are happy to purchase again from me in the future as well!

Yeah, most times its good to weed out the freeloaders. They can take up a bunch of time. It's easier and more manageable. So you're in control and dont have to put up with as much "crap" as if you have 1000 subscribers and just 20 buyers from those.

Makes no sense, unless you are looking to get exposoure on some bannerswap sites or whatever.
