Where oh where have the inexpensive webinar providers gone... DimDim bought out

It appears that Salesforce.com has snapped up DimDim for a cool $31 million.

Salesforce buys Dimdim, continues with Facebook-for-biz ploy ? Channel Register

The announcement email proclaimed the purchase and also the end of free accounts post haste.

I can only assume that DimDim will go the way of GoToWebinar with a major price hike.

Boo freaking hiss.

Yeah I got an email from the company on that issue. I thought it was quite interesting and I learned something from the situation. Create a good, useful product that everyone loves and finds to be of good value, then sell it to a large company!

Thanks for the tip Will. I am giving them a looksee now.

DimDim was under $100 so these guys are probably a contender if the service is somewhat reliable.

      Features look comparable to DimDim.
