1600 is nothing stellar, cpc is not bad though. To give you better answer I'll need to know what is the competition like?

One of biggest myths out there is anything under 1000 exact searches is not worth it I am in a niche with around 150 exact searches probably a total of 500 exact searches by doing keyword variations that has made me 600 bucks in a month.

If you build a site that is more general in nature instread of just focusing on this keyword phrase, you can probably do OK all other things being considered.

What I mean is if you are going to go after a ranking with this phrase, find some related phrases to go with it to make additional pages on your site.

That is obviously not a complete how to do it guide, but I can tell you that when I have done this, I have craeted rock steady income earners that have lasted now going on three years.

Yes it's all depend on many variables, one of them is your competition, also the profit/commission of the product you sell.

Yes this is the big factor. If you are selling an affiliate product then you can make money with only 10 visits a month if each product earns you $100 a sale. The problem with adsense is that the click through rate is often relatively low, which means to get X amount of clicks, you need X amount of visitors. At $5 per advertiser click though you could earn around $3 for yourself. If that's the case, you only need 33 visitors to make $100 a month. It's a start I guess.

Thanks for the input. Anthor question, would 5500 exact match at .75 cpc be better then 1600 and 5 cpc? Also using longtail keywords as a .com , .net or .org even ok.

You won't really know until you do it and compare your results.

As far as longtail words as your domain name, you sometiems get a littel extra boost with that, but not always. And you don't want to be picking a domain name that you can't get any other related terms for.

One of the right answers is...

Go ahead and try it out and see for yourself!

    Nothing beats "first hand experience".

I should know - lots of the answers I got before
building 700+ micro niche sites weren't the
answers I got when I actually got in the game,

If you can get an exact match domain and the CPC average for the general niche is decent, then I would go for it.
