How Do I Make A Squeeze Page For Aweber For A Static Front Page!

I need to make a static squeeze page for my wordpress blog for my
aweber newsletter that's just for the front page without columns or a sidebar.

There going to be getting a free ebook for signing up to my
newsletter.

Whats the best way to set this up for both the squeeze page and
also the download for the ebook.

After they subscribe I'm going to have a 1 column theme with categories
on the right side.

    Then you are going to need a theme like Flexsqueeze that allows you to choose page templates so that you can set your front page to have no sidebars.

    Or you are going to have to edit your page template and do a bunch of other things which I am not an expert at in order to create a new no sidebar page template on your own.

    I think Istvan Horvath has a tutorial on how to do this.

      I suggest using thesis theme...

      First, create a page (whatever you want for home page)

      In the right sidebar is "page attributes"

      Under template drop down box select "no sidebars"

      Click save

      Then, go to Wordpress dashboard:

      ...settings

      ...reading

      ...front page displays

      ...a static page

      ...front page

      (select page from drop down menu)

      CLICK SAVE!

      All done...

      I also recommend creating a page for default blog posts and adjust the settings:

      Go to Wordpress dashboard:

      ...settings

      ...reading

      ...front page displays

      ...a static page

      ...posts page

      (select page from drop down menu)

      CLICK SAVE!

        Here's a low cost solution:
        Use this free plugin WordPress › Page Links To « WordPress Plugins.

        This will allow you to create a standard html squeeze page, put it anywhere you want and then link a post or page to it via the url.
        Then from your squeeze page you can send them to a WordPress page for your download. You can password protect that page via the WP admin panel and you can prevent it from being indexed by embedding the noindex meta tag.

    One of the best Wordpress Squeeze page themes that I've come across is OptimizePress. It's really slick, and gives you a lot of flexibility with customization. In addition to that, you can also create sales pages, one time offers, etc. This theme was designed by internet marketers, so all the designs have been tested and proven to increase conversions, and I find it reassuring to know that.

    You can do this by going to add new page--> on the right sidebar you'll see the page attributes. In that tab, you'll see a template tab which ask you to choose Default Template or One Colum Template. Choose one column template and paste your codes into the page editor and publish it. You'll see what you're looking for. This has been working with many WP themes & hope this works well with yours too. Hope this has helped you to sort out your problem.

    Don't spend any money on plugins or themes, this is way too easy to do!! Just follow these 2 steps and you'll be on your way.

    First, create yourself a squeeze page in your favorite html editor, download a template for free off the internet, use a squeeze page you already have, etc... The point is, get a functioning squeeze page outside of wordpress.

    Then, get this free report by our resident wordpress guru Istvan Horvath:

    The report will give you step-by-step instructions on turning that squeeze page into a wordpress page template.

    It's really not hard to do, and I could attempt to tell you in this post, but it wouldn't be as complete as IH's report. Plus, why reinvent the wheel... just download the report.

    Rainmans answer was pretty good & step by step I like that.

    aandersenaim I've downloaded ivon's ebook & squeeze page I'm most likely just
    going to use Komposer to create a simple squeeze page with a aweber form.

    I can't afford a premium wordpress them for now wheres some good sites for
    picking out a free them besides wordpress.org
