I Need Your Help Warriors

My husband has decided to get back in the game of making money online. He created a blog not too long ago and I think its ok but it can always be better. Now I'm no super expert but I have made a full time income without a blog. I need some tough critics to give him some advice on what to improve. If you would be so kind to give him some pointers I may have missed. I have started to promote it for him with the link below.(FREE Marketing Training For Your Business!) He keeps bugging me to do this so let him have it. Thanks for all your help.

    I've made a few mental notes, and I'm hoping a few other people will chime in here as well.

    Immediately, the aWeber subscription form has ALOT going on. Is there anyway to streamline the message?

    I checked out the site, kind of looks scattered and not really professional. The banner image looks like it was created with MS paint so I would get that redesigned. The website also looks like 1 big list, once the visitor scrolls down half way through the page, there's little chance they're going to scroll back up so I would cut down on the amount of posts he shows on the home page. Try to keep it short and simple, but that's my personal opinion.

    Also, whenever I see a website with tons of banner ads, like on his sidebar, I usually just click the back button because I know he's trying to sell something up front.

      LOL....His header was creating in paint....That is sooooo funny...Ok I told him about the long post too so thank you about that. Banners on the first page do make you seem desperate.

    Honestly, when looking at a lot of the elements of the site, I think "meh". The posts have decent content, but are not worded enticingly and have some grammar problems. The header is fairly unprofessional, along with the picture of him. The site design is a little bland, but fine. Basically the blog needs something that makes it pop.. something that makes it different and interesting.
