You Come Here...Look At The List Of Threads...And You're Overwhelmed...Here's Solution

Okay newbies, listen up. This may be the best advice that you've heard in
a long time, even from me.

One of the things I have been trying to wrap my head around is why new
people have so much trouble getting anything done.

I realized, after a lot of hair pulling, that the number 1 reason is that they
are presented with too much info in too short a time. It's not just info
overload, because the truth is, they don't even have the info in their head
yet. It's that they don't know which thread to open first.

"Oooh, this looks good...I'll open this one".

They read it, have barely absorbed it, let alone really learned anything from
it when suddenly they close up the thread and see another eye catching
wonder...

"Ooooh, this looks even BETTER. I gotta read this one."

And so it continues into a never ending spiral until at the end of the day
they have all these little bits and pieces from all these many excellent
(and some not so excellent threads) and they don't know where to begin.

And that's if they've even remembered ANYTHING they've read.

Tell me I'm wrong. You know it's true. There is so much here that you're
on the verge of having a seizure from all the overload.

Okay...STOP THE MADNESS.

This is what you do AND it works.

Step 1 - Before you even come here for the day, write down on a piece
of paper what you want to learn today. Have a definite game plan for
what you want to accomplish here. Do NOT deviate from it no matter
what.

Step 2 - Go to the search function and look for what it is you want to
learn. See if there is an existing thread or threads. Read them first, if
there are any. If there are, take notes from the thread of just print it
to a PDF. There is a feature that allows you to do this. I just don't
remember what it is. Maybe somebody can chime in here.

Step 3 - If the stuff your looking for doesn't come up start your own
thread on the topic and ask your questions. After the thread has run
its course and you've gotten all the answers you're going to get, save it
to a PDF.

Step 4 - Leave the forum Do not go looking for other stuff. Take what
you learned that day, read it, study it, use it. Don't come back until you've
accomplished what you wanted to accomplish with the info.

The key to making this work is knowing what you want to know in
advance and making it as specific as possible.

Asking questions like, "How can I make money online" are about as
worthless as asking Superman how you can fly too. The question is too
broad, too general and the answers you get, because they are so varied,
will only lead to that same info overload.

In other words, learn to discipline your thought process to a specific
goal and action.

That's how you'll get the most out of this gold mine called the Warrior Forum.
