Do you like NameCheap's new design?

I like it. However, I found that some links take me out account, but it also did this in the old interface. Usually I have to keep hitting the 'back' button or sign in again. It's kind of a pain.

i like it personally... i don't use namecheap.. but i might some now...

I hate it. They fixed something that wasn't broken.

Kind of preferred the cheesy old look myself, it suited them!

The new design is a little more "in the present", I think, and definitely raises the professionalism of their image.

I can't help but kind of prefer the old one, though. A little more simplistic, fewer distractions and less general "bloat". That's the way I roll, usually.

But I can see why they felt the need to update it. Doesn't matter either way, really, so long as they continue to provide a great service; they're still my favourite registrar, either way.

It is very similar with domaintools. I think they should redisign it

But seriously...

I haven't had the guts to try out the new design. With all new
things I know it will take a while to find my way around so I just
haven't tried yet, . But I did use the homepage to search for bulk
domains and realized that you can now search for 100, as against
the 30 that was allowed with the old design.

So, though I haven't tried this new design, they wouldn't go through
the trouble (and spend the money/time) to bring this in if it wasn't
an improvement of the old. Just saying,

Now, back to the fun aspect of it all
you can decide to take the time to
learn how to get used to the new
design (it can and will happen)
just as we all get used to the
many new shiny toys that
our kids learn to start
using right off the
bat. Or we keep
complaining all
we want to
complain!

So many people here say, they HATE the design. I for one think that they use the word 'hate' too liberately, as it has a very strong connotation associated with it.

I like the new design and of course it takes some time to get used to it. They have put a lot of thought into this redesign. Change is not a bad thing per se. You always have to adapt, it's the same in every aspect of life. If you fail to adapt, you fail in general.

I really like it. At least it LOOKS better to me. I never had to go on the old version very much so I won't really have a learning curve anyway. I do understand people not liking new navigation. I have used MS Word since it was first created. Every time they "update" it everything is in a different spot. I basically still use the same things I did years ago so it is aggravating learning it over and over.

It's NameCheap, common guys, we expecting anything amazing? cheap is in the name after all

The old one was better - the new one is not as easy to use. It is definitely not an improvement.

It is so much less cluttered at least on the front pages than the old one. The interior pages like where you manage your account are still a bit cluttered but overall looks a lot better.

I have avoided using them in a large part becasue I have never liked their interface. I don't think Godaddy is any better but most of the time at least I can find what I want there.

The old interface was easy to move around in. However, they had to do an improve. I wonder if their phone was ringing off the hook with customers pleading for them to update the site's look an feel to the new 2.0 era. OK so my guess is no.

What they need to do is take a college course in customer service. We exist to serve our consumers. They think it is the other way.

It's always the same with these things

When the changes first appear, people are all like "sign this petition to get the old XXXX back!"

A few weeks later, everything back to normal.

Just got problem when I register a domain traininginfitness.com yesterday.

But like the bulk search with 100 and more option like .net and .org etc

Overall, I like it...I'm noticing a trend with some internet sites.

When they do a redesign, the boxes and icons, etc are getting LARGER....I'm guessing this is because they are trying to cater more to their aging audience over 40 that need reading glasses, like me.

I just renewed some domains, and all whoisguard renewal links will not work, and can not find where they are on the site. contacted support, found this hidden link.

I do not like the new design, because I got used to old one. but, do I really care? no.

I joked a little while about all of this but decided to
buy a couple more domain names today and was
actually VERY impressed with the new design!

Not only was it VERY much easier to move around
in but had lots MORE bells and whistles that just
looks far better than the old "conservative" design.

I can however understand that many of us will find
the design a little "unfamiliar" but trust me - the more
you use it, the more you will like it FAR more than
the old,

When I went there the other day, I thought I had typed in the address wrong and I was at the wrong site. I liked the old design much better. Much more useful than the new design.

I'm not a big fan of their new look but that's mainly because I was so use to their old layout.

Took a couple days to adjust.. and now it's starting to grow on me.

Simply put, I hate it.

Their usability expert was probably a sleep when he designed this UI.

Just noticed they removed the list of previous domain name searches. I loved that feature!!!

I like it as they brought a bit of a fresh breath over there but I think they only got 50% of the job done...

Web 2.0 layouts are about big/visible elements and they did it on the home page, but in the membersarea it really is difficult to navigate with all that small crowded information formatted in small tables. And that blue menu bar doesn't do any good being so bright and taking so much from the user's eye...

Hate it or love it but Godaddy is way better in terms of design and I think that's the way NC should go too...

The only thing I like about it is they added Paypal payments directly instead of having to replenish your account with Paypal.

Why anyone would hate it is beyond my ken. I, for one, absolutely love it. It gives a fresh new face to the Namecheap brand.
