My 5 points and problems

Here is what I have experienced when it comes to marketing or internet marketing.

1. Cashcrate. GPT sites are easy to make low money with. You are not going to get rich. I just feel that you can learn a bit about marketing trying to get referrals. Amy Bass has made over $1500 dollars a month with their program.

2. Clickbank. I have been a member of Cashcrate for a few years. Guess that I am just not a good salesman. This has been where I fail, then give up. I know that that is where the problem is.

3. Blogging. I read Amy Bass and decided to get started with this. Hopefully I can make it. I really do not have the money to put a lot into hosting and domain registration. Yes, I do know that domains are cheap. But, its the hosting that I have issues with.

4. Article marketing. I consider myself an okay writer. No I am by no means a copywriter. That is a skill in a whole different category than I am in. But, I would love to learn how.

5. Squidoo and Hubpages. I just started this project. After reading Amy Bass's blog post about the 100 Hubpages in 30 days, I thought I would give it a shot. So, far today I have 1 hub and will be adding 2 more today and 5 a day (hopefully) for the next 30 days.

Now my questions. Cashcrate is an okay site if you just want to make pennies. So, unless you have some secret way to get referrals please lets just forget about this one.

Clickbank. How do you sell these things? Do people really make money with these products? I ask because I tried to sell them, no luck. Anybody got a suggestion where I get affiliate products that do sell.

Blogging. This is where I believe you can build a nice income stream. I have researched and studied. Now I have to figure out the whole keyword tricks and learn how to use Google keyword tool effectively.

Article Marketing. This is where most of the money and traffic come from. If I understand what I read. Correct me if I am wrong.

Squidoo and hubpages. According to what I have read so far. These sites are good for traffic. Correct me if I am wrong

    1. Crashcrate - I personally don't use it, it's not worth my time vs. the amount to be made.

    2. Clickbank - Yes this works, there's a simple proven method you need to follow in order to be successful like the thousands of people out there. You have to do research not only on the product, but on your competition and domain name.

    3. Blogging - Yes, as you mentioned, keyword research is the trick. Do it correctly and effectively, and you will be rewarded. Driving traffic to your site by people searching for you is the key, don't go looking for traffic, let them search for you.

    4. Article marketing - You can actually use article marketing to help you with the above 3 methods if you so choose to. You need a game plan and again, tons of methods I personally use to help create 1 big cashflow.

    5. Squidoo/Hubpages - This will help generate traffic if you pick the right topics to write about, then you can link back to your clickbank or websites to gain traffic plus people will be more interested based off the content you write.

My suggestions... use Article Marketing to drive traffic to your site, which has your clickbank product or other affiliate monetization methods. Use Squidoo/Hubpages the same way, it is basically the same as article marketing except you can monetize those pages directly. You can also use those listed above to point to your blog which will get increased traffic.

Thanks kiloh. I have been looking into Article Marketing to help with traffic. I believe that I have been searching for the instant gratification online. I have to get that out of my mind, and concentrate on building a solid marketing plan and stick to it.

I keep giving up, and moving on to something else. Which is only causes more failure. So, this is where I will be concentrating on building backlinks and articles to get traffic.

I'll limit myself to just a couple of your points/questions, that I know a little about ...

The free hosting at Byethost.com is very good, and highly recommended here by many Warriors. Unlike other "free hosts", it's not unreliable, and there's no advertising placed on your sites, and it's very well-established and doesn't have any awkward terms of service, or other "strings and catches". I know full-time professional marketers who've been using it successfully for years, and like and recommend it.

Don't listen to people saying that "no free host is a good host" and that "you get what you pay for": they just don't know about Byethost and are repeating what they see other people saying, and/or they had a bad experience with a free host and mistakenly assumed that all free hosts are the same.

Yes, some people make at least six-figures per month just selling Clickbank products. I make five-figures per month from them, myself, by article marketing. Perhaps the single most important thing is selecting the right ones to promote, out of the 13,500 active products there: if you get that part wrong, it's very, very difficult indeed to make much steady income and build a business, however you go about it. If it helps, here's my own 10-point checklist for selecting products. It's all "personal opinion only", of course, but it does seem to have helped several people.

How do you find these long tail keywords? I know that I can use Google Keyword Tool to find relevant keywords, I just need to find how to use it properly to make sure that the keywords that I am using are actually being searched.

I will be working on finding a clickbank product later tonight and hopefully I can write a few articles about and make a sale or 2 during the next week.
