Newbie - Direction & Coaching Assistance Required

Hi Guys,

I first would like to thank WarriorForums and the people here for making this a great community to learn how to make money online.

I am completely new to this and hope that someone out there will take me under their wing and guide me through the process so I can start earning a living from home.

After 8 years I have lost my employment in the Online Gaming Industry where I worked in Accounting. Through my years in this industry I gained much knowledge in dealing with consumers from customer service, management roles, security, to accounting. I also did assist our marketing team with their marketing strategies so I do have an idea of what needs to be done.

I am a hard working dedicated person that is willing to spend 15 hours or more a day online to be able to make a profit but I require guidance on where to start.

I am not computer illeterate nor am I a professional so I do not know SQL scripts, Coding, ETC but I am a very quick learner and once taught I retain the information quickly and progress.

Thinking back I guess I have actually done marketing in my own life experiences such as creating promotional videos for friends business, business cards, etc.

I only signed up today however I have been reading through the forums for the last week and find myself lost with all the information being thrown at me.

If someone on these forums has some time to coach this newbie or direct me on where to start, what to do etc I would be extremly greatful.

Regards,
JB

    Hi JB,

Welcome to the forum. It can be overwhelming in terms of where to start. Let me suggest you do this:

Go to the main page of this forum and click on "ratings" near the top of the page. You'll then see all of the 5 star posts all laid out for you. Many of them are detailed plans that you can emulate.

Now, I don't want you to be overwhelmed by this but just go through and find one business model or gameplan that would be a good fit for you and then just follow the plan.

    Great intro, JB. Well done.

Since you seem like a pretty smart guy, I'm going to give you a little advice. Making a post like this is likely going to get you several offers of coaching, along with a multitude of product recommendations. Most of those offers will be made based more on the potential return for the one recommending than for any benefit to you. Take any offer with a huge pinch of salt and do your homework before buying anything.

In my opinion, you could do a lot worse that investing a few dollars in a War Room membership. Skip all the free offers on the first several main pages, and spend some time reading Allan Says' private posts. You'll get a feel for some of the options available to you from the perspective of someone who walks the walk (Allan is the owner of the Warrior Forum, for a start).

Once you get a feel for a direction that appeals to you, then you can start looking at how others are implementing that approach. Now is the time to start looking at the free offers in the War Room, but start with the ones directly related to the topic you're exploring.

Trust me, it's really easy to start jumping from offer to offer and find hours gone without knowing it. Resist the temptation and stick to your guns.

Then come back and ask specific questions. You'll get much more helpful feedback and answers than you will to 'where do I start and what should I do'...

    Oh, and one more thing...

    Welcome to the forum!

This is very true. The war room is a treasure trove. You will have tons of information available to you, all for free. So, if your going to invest in anything I say invest in a War Room membership first.

Welcome! I totally understand you, because information overload is the main reason why people fail online, in my opinion. know this from experience.

By following a strategy proven to work by others, I can now skip watching all the videos and webinars thrown at me via my email every day.

I'm now building websites for passive income, and there's no turning back

Lots of people offer coaching. This is the first one that has offered to stay with you till you make money, and do a lot of the work for you. I don't know anything about this person, I just stumbled on it this morning. Check it out, it looks pretty good from what I saw.

Ok, Ok, I have to say something after seeing a lot of these types of post. Don't want to get off topic but this isn't directly related to the OP, but the WF member's who answer.

The number one response to these questions are always "Purchase a War Room Membership" after the person has clearly said they are broke or have very little money! AND, after they've mentioned there having information overload you're going to have them purchase a War Room membership and just completely ADD to that overload so WF could make another $37 off a newbie. Forgive me here if I'm a little confused.

Then comes a recommendation for a $367 WSO? REALLY?
After 8 years I have lost my employment in the Online Gaming Industry where I worked in Accounting.
I'm sure, between all those that want to help, we can offer a little better advice to the newbie's than to push yet another product, service, membership, etc onto them or overwhelm them with yet MORE, intermediate to advanced, information.

This is a great point that had to be made. Why, push someone to get a War Room membership (even though it is the best move I made) when they have no money to invest. Maybe someone will come along and purchase it for them, as a gift to get them started. hehe

    Hi Guys,

I really appreciate the kind words and assistance that you have given me. You are all right when you say it is information overload so I have decided to take a step back. I will first start by understanding the basics of each step involved, then find my niche and finally start each step with more detail.

Mind you I have already created a fast test site on webs.com and set up google webmaster, etc to basically just understand what is being explained to me the posts.

When I get further into this rest assured I will be posting questions

    Regards,
    JB

After taking in all the info you can and gaining a basic understanding of how all the moving pieces work....

Choose ONE system/approach/model, and don't look back.

I wasted over a year skipping from one thing to the next.

Finally, don't be afraid to spend money on the things that make a difference: outsourcing, automation, autoresponder, etc.

While we're off on this tangent, here's another question for you...

Why do people assume that every person who says they lost a job and have to replace the income is minutes away from living in a freezer carton behind the Home Depot?

I did recommend the War Room, because for $37 for a 20 year membership, it's a bargain. I also gave specific advice on how to use the resource in order to avoid the information overload.

As for the others, I believe I touched on that also...

        Edit:

I see you aren't a War Room member yet, so how the heck do you know that all the information behind the gate is "intermediate to advanced"? Many of the concepts, especially if you get past the "shiny object" pages that do indeed offer more advanced tools and training, are fundamental to gaining and holding traction.

I suppose we could have just told him to grab a product off of Clickbank and start writing articles...

I will suggest you focus on one strategy at a time, if you like a particular persons style of coaching, stick with it. Dont be in such a hurry too make the kind of ''crazy money'' you hear others talk about. Also do not be eager to spend money at the first thing that comes your way. There are so many free resources out there to help you make money. You can start with bum marketing, it is free and really very helpful for newbies. Best of luck

I am newbie myself and Warrior Forum is the best coaching program. Yes it is little bit overwhelming in terms of where to start. You have to start somewhere (lot of post for newbie's here) Learn all the basics & terms first. If you need help just ask, everybody here is helpful.
      I agree with xixi12.

      JohnMcCabe:
In my opinion, you could do a lot worse that investing a few dollars in a War Room membership.

I agree with JohnMcCabe $37 for 20 years membership it's a bargain. There is a valuable information which could cost you $$$$

I am sorry, but I am here little bit confused.CyberSorcerer: The number one response to these questions are always "Purchase a War Room Membership"

Well, that explain why is this the NO.1 response

CyberSorcerer: the person has clearly said they are broke or have very little money!
Well, $37 is not a lot. I don't want to offend anyone, but when people say "I am broke" just make me wonder.

Someone broke probably wouldn't be here. (PC + Internet require)

Then take a look what you are buying and ask yourself one question. Do I really need that??? That is where you can save a lot of money. Then you could afford more than just War Room Membership.

      That is just my opinion

First of all, welcome to the forum!
      A few suggestions:
      1. Listen to John. He knows what he is talking about.
      2. Do not buy any ebooks, WSOs or anything IM-related until you have a chance to check what warrior room is about.
      3. Think long term: business model vs making quick cash.
      4. Select one model and stick with it. Do not jump from one thing to another.
      5. After you picked a model ask specific questions, rather than "What kind of business should I have".
      6. Spent most of your time doing work rather than browsing this forum.
      7. Learn from your best competitors. What they are doing right? How can I make it better.
      8. Believe in yourself.

      Good luck
