How to sell software on clickbank and protect it via serial activation?

I want to sell my software with clickbank.

The customer should get his own unique serial automatically directly after buying. My server would generate the serial and activates it.

Can I sell my software this way with clickbank?

Any hints on software cheap protection systems that work with clickbank?

    What I don't get is that if YOUR server gives the serial number, and activates it, WHERE does clickbank come in and WHY!?!?!?!?

    You should have a package doing the licensing that requires that they enter a code that they get from somewhere. It could be a paypal transaction number, or a clickbank order ID, something on YOUR side would validate that, and do the rest.

    The first part would have to be external to some degree, like in a shopping cart or something. unless the package does it ALL. And there would have to be a piece in the software that mates with the package you are using.
