A new, but yet not so new brand.

As I have said in many of my other posts, I recently started working and studying internet marketing. I know I have all the SEO covered, but what I wanted to ask is how do I promote a brand that's been online for a few years now, but never really was promoted in any other way besides by word of mouth offline, and with minimal exposure online. The product is virtually invisible online.

I have recently had a hand in reworking the site, preparing to relaunch it, and I have been responsible for a lot of the imagery as well as the SEO aspects. The applications have been used by a great many big wigs in the mining industry, and it has lately been adapted so that anyone can use it.

Would it be effective to add the names of the main users of the application? Or should I look at promoting it in another way?

    Hey there.

One of the most fatal mistakes one can make is to over emphasize on unfamiliar brand names.
I'll sell you a book called "John Alfred's SEO Secrets," would you buy it? Unlikely, because you don't know who the heck is John Alfred (me too).
It would be a better idea to writing a better attention grabbing headline and state the benefits or whatsoever. I'm not saying you can never make the name famous, but it often take years and millions in advertising before it happens.

Thanks. I was thinking along the same lines, but thought if the idea has merit, it may work. I am solely in charge of the seo marketing of the product and don't want to damage the product before it even has a chance to do any good.

Try promoting in other ways. Internet marketing is bit difficult. You are new to it you will find good ways to improve your skills. Try searching articles on search engines as well as on warriorforum. Wish you best of luck in your internet marketing business.

Thank you so much. I will do the research. I will admit I did feel like it was all too much for me to take in, but the more I do the work, the more I understand and enjoy it.
