CitizenHawk "Recovery"

I received a message from these guys who apparently scout the internet looking for domains that are similar to "namebranded sites." Apparently, I have one that they don't like and they are claiming trademark infringement on behalf of their client. I am supposed to turn it over to them.

Has anyone had any dealings with these people? Any assistance would be helpful. Thanks.

Sandy

    What's your domain name?

I just did a trademark search for "RealtyTrac" at www.uspot.gov

And there are two live trademarks for RealtyTrac.

After looking at your site it looks like you are infringing on a registered trademark with the ability to cause brand confusion.

If I were you I would not make any admissions but I would recommend cooperating and handing over the domain name.

I would also recommend consulting with an attorney on this issue... especially if it escalates and I would recommend considering moving the site to a non infringing domain.

Get legal council. If they do not feel you are cooperating or if they want to seek damages it could get more ugly for you since RealtyTrac is a registered trade mark.
