I am trying to buy .us domain and i need to choose options whether I am us citizen or not...

Also I am asked whether I am planning to do business with that domain or not.

I do not understand... I can't own .us domain and do any business if I am not US resident?

Here's some information about the restrictions of an .us domain.

.us - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you search through that page for the word "seldom" it might answer your question.

As mentioned by others there are restrictions when opting for a .us domain. Maybe you can call them to find out more details. If not stick with .com if you are operating from Europe.

If you have a friend in US, you can ask him to buy the domain for you. It must be a friend, because, if the domain becomes a succesful one, he'll not sell it and cash all the money for your work.

By the way, what advantage do you have if you buy an .us domain? I agree that is nice in combinations like "DoYouLike.us" but remember del.i.cio.us? Even they changed to delicious.com eventually.
