Affiliate's Landing Page Question...

Hi Everyone.. Question:

was looking through clickbank the other night and found a product to promote on another domain i have. I looked at the vendor's page for affiliates and you have the ability as an affiliate to download one of their landing pages to use on your website..

now my question is, how am i supposed to use this? can i just use that page as the only page in my domain? the landing page is so complete that anything else i put together would pale in comparison.

For the seasoned warriors, how would you use a landing page from the vendor? or how have you used them in the past?

Unless you are getting a bunch of direct traffic from somewhere, I might think that most of the time a one page site is not going to do you much good.

You can download the page and upload it to your site as either the index page or an interior page.

I don't use other people's landing pages if I can help it. I make my own and they seem to work pretty well for me.

      Landing pages are good!

Are you allowed to edit the landing page that was provided by the vendor?

If you are then that means you can add in your review about the product, you can add in pictures and descriptions of the bonuses you might be giving to people who buy through your affiliate link.

From there drive traffic to your landing page through any means possible, blog comments, forum posting, build links to that page use different social media sites.

As more and more links and visitors start heading to your site, the more exposure you can get and that is good!

A product review on a landing page is also better than a product review on a blog because on a blog there are many other links on the sidebar etc. that might draw your visitors away.

I would at least get an opt in before sending them to the vendor page...

  • If the landing page is that good then go ahead and use it, if its just going to be a single landing page then create as a page in a directory, i.e domain.com/directory and then drive targeted traffic to that page.

This then keeps your index page free for building the main site.

I obviously haven't seen the landing page, so depending on the vendor he may not have built in an optin form so as to make it easier for the traffic to get to the sales page so if this is the case make sure you add your optin forms and lead capture tools before sending on to the vendors sales page.
