Major Snow Storm Here - But It's Not Affecting My Business

God knows that newbies don't need any more incentive to try Internet Marketing, but I was just watching the late news. Snow - Sleet - Freezing Rain through tommorrow afternoon.

This is going to be a major thunder*uck because whatever falls is going to hang around for days.

People won't be able to get to work...those that do will have to make some sort of heroic effort to find someone to mind their kids because there won't be school for days...

I stocked the fridge with food and beer, sitting here looking out the window at the beautiful snow writing articles for an offline client.

I have no where I have to go, and with no kids I can sleep till whenever I decide to get up tomorrow, and conduct my whole business from within these four walls.

I'll feed the cats in the morning, maybe romp with my plott hound in the snow a bit, fix a pot of coffee and punch in.

Gotta' love being your own boss!

It's a great feeling, Stephen. It's one of the great perks of internet marketing that you're able to work from almost anywhere you want. All that's really required is a computer and an internet connection, and you can laugh at the commuters who have to fight traffic jams, snow, sleet and rain just to get to work.

It's great to be able to call the shots when you're in IM, and one of the perks that I truly appreciate is being able to wake up late in the morning or even afternoon. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a hard worker who loves to work long hours at the computer, but I've never been a morning person. I've always been a night owl, and tend to do my best work at night. IM allows me to keep my preferred sleeping schedule, and work hard while everyone else is fast asleep!

God is a faithful God. Good for you if you are not affected by snow storms.

I thought I was the only one that spent the 'wee' hours promoting my craft.

I often find myself up at the break of day, still churning out ideas.

Stephen, we must be kindred spirits then, as I often get my best ideas and "a-ha" type moments in the middle of the night when my mind is clear, and the household is silent.

Snowstorms might actually boost business - people poking around online instead of going to work

We have had several snow days and nights here where I live also. And, like several of you...I really enjoy working at night.

This year I've started off 2011 with this little diddie..."Don't want to make new money, there is enought money already out there to go around. All I want is my fair share."

And, I'm willing to burn the midnight oil to get it.

Steve, forget the food, get rid of that, and just stock up on the beer. Come to your senses dude! You now have me singing "Frosty the Snowman" in honor of the internet marketing lifestyle. I'm mapquesting your address right now, so that when you come out to get your mail, I can be there to pelt you with a snowball lol.
