How do you know if you'll be paid by $7 script?

I see a lot of sites that use the $7 script. Before sending traffic to such sites, how can I make sure that I'll be actually paid (automatically) for every sale I make?

I know that the $7 script works - I have no doubt about it. I'm not sure though that everyone configured it correctly or tested it before going live.

Run a test. If you see a product you'd like to promote that uses the script have a friend or family member or whatever buy it from your affiliate link. If you get the sale you know it works. If you don't get the sale then you know it doesn't work and request a refund.

I had some issues in the past with getting refunds. I prefer a method that does not involve any buying on my part.

By the way, with your method someone can get any product free, if that product is sold by a $7 script, isn't it? He signs as an affiliate, the relative buys the product for him and he pays the relative from the affiliate commision (which is usually 100% for a $7 script).

I would set it up and put the product price at like 5 cents, then have someone test it out for you. The $7 script is not the easiest to use, but once you figure it out, it can be very helpful.

If it's not configured correctly it wouldn't work for the vendor either...
So, let's say the vendor offers 50% for affiliates - it means:
sale #1 - vendor gets paid
sale #2 - affiliate gets paid
    sale #3 - vendor
    sale #4 - affiliate...

Which means the vendor would be the first to notice if the settings are not OK.

To be honest, I don't really understand your question/worry...

If someone is so dumb that is not able to set up properly (outsource the job) for such a basic script... his product must also be crappy. Why would you promote it? :p

Your advice is useful, but when I'm the vendor. I'm talking about making sure the seller's script is configurated correctly, so I can be paid as an affiliate.

What if the seller offers me 100%? Tthat's by far the most common case I've encountered. He promises me 100% of what he's paid by the buyer. The seller is interested in getting the free traffic and making new subscribers.

What I'm worried about is that I don't know any way to be sure that I'll be actually paid when someone will make a purcahse, using his website/script.

Maybe he's a honest seller - I don't know and I don't know anymore how to tell a honest seller from one who's not. Of course, I'm talking about a seller unknown to me. Sometimes, I don't see the seller's name at all and all the contact information is an eMail address, like contact@WebSite.com

    100%?
    That's even easier to test.
use example.com/?e=yourpaypalemail-here and after you were taken to the sales page click on the buy button. (Of course, replace example.com with the URL of the salespage)

Does it go to your PP account? If yes, you are fine (just don't try to buy/login at PP: it doesn't let you buy from yourself)

That's an interesting idea, but I still miss one step. If I am sent to the PayPal account, it means that the script will take money from the buyer. How can I make sure that those money will arrive into MY PayPal account? Maybe is something simple, but I don't see it.

      >>> Does it go to your PP account? If yes, you are fine (just don't try to buy/login at PP: it doesn't let you buy from yourself)
And if not? Would it send me to what page? That is, I can see on that page the PayPal address that will receive the money?

You solved 90% of my problem and I appreciate it.

Sergiu, Istvan solved 100% of your problem.

Follow your affiliate link to the sales page.

        Click the "buy" button.

Does the script take you to a PayPal page where the money would be sent to your account?

If it shows that you would be sending money to the proper account, the script is configured correctly and PP will deposit the payment in your account.

It has nothing to do with the honesty of the seller. If the script is set up properly, he has no choice...

My bad. I wanted to say that I understood 90% of the procedure.

What I didn't understand was this:
I know it's possible to change the way the PayPal page looks (I've seen it several times). I'm not sure if you can change the also the text, including the eMail address that appear on the page.

That is, is it possible or not to change everything on the actual PayPal payment page, including the text that shows the eMail address? Or the eMail address where the money goes can't be changed on that screen?

If the above question doesn't makes sense, I'll study further how that PayPal page works and come back with a clearer question.

Maybe I've seen too many phishing sites lateley and that's why am I so skeptical.

            Gotcha...

The only thing you can change on the PayPal payment page is the header. You can't change the actual destination email, etc.

Nor can the vendor change the PayPal payment page for your account, only for his.

I understand the skepticism. If you do ever run into a phishing scam, it won't be because of the script (7 Dollar or RAP).

I was afraid that I would be directed to his page, but his page would look like a standard page, with my eMail address on it.

I'm not concernet about the script itself, but of what can be done with PayPal.

Now it's clearer and I appreciate the help.

    Mă, ce nu-nţelegi?

Yes, it is simple... there is no missing step. When the buyer clicks on the BUY NOW button (and if 100% commission is offered) they should arrive to the Paypal page where is says: LunLun S.R.L. at the top.
    What is so complicated?

With this script (and with RAP, too) the buyer pays you directly. There is nothing between your paypal and the buyer. So the money doesn't "arrive" from somwhere else - it is paid by the buyer's PP account into your PP account.

And if not? Would it send me to what page?
Well, if on the top of Paypal page it says "Istvan Horvath"... then I will receive the money, LOL
