Is There A Word Count Limit On WordPress Pages?

I just built a new website for a Network Marketing company I joined. I built the site with WordPress using the Atahualpa Theme.

I wrote a 750 word post for the front page. It's a static page that I told WP to use as the homepage. The page also has a 4 x 3 table with images and links to other pages within the site.

When I try to publish the page I kept getting a blank page, just the title would show up. I thought there might be some kind of problem with one of the paragraphs so I removed them one at a time until the post appeared. After messing with it for awhile I realized the problem was the word count. After I removed a lot of the extra alt and title tags from the images in the table I was able to add more of the post.

I did a Google search and found that it is a common problem. The only solution I found was from a 2008 post telling me to add a <nextpage> tag into my post. It works, but it breaks up my post into 2 pages.

I am using a HostGator reseller account if it matters. Some of the solution posts mention a problem with php4.

Does anyone have a solution to get it all on one page? I'm going to be adding more images to the table which means I'll have to remove more of my post.

Thanks,

Dennis Graves
