Clickbank Product: How to Promote Ideas needed

I am looking to promote clickbank product that I feel comfortable with. Are there any tips I should bear in mind? I am looking in to gravity 10 or more, and something that is not spammy.

  1. Is there anything else I should look in to it?Any tips ?
  2. Where do I get banner links? I want non flash-non moving ones.
  3. Should I do one product per domain or offer 2 more similar in same niche? What works best?
  4. Where do I get theme without sidebar?
  5. Is html or wordpress better choice? I want to have mini site of 5 articles or so.
This is my first product based site and minisite, I am all nervous, and excited. Any tips to starting on right path? Thank you.

      Thank you for detailed response. It helped a lot. I can not PM yet but I will surely check out your site on sig. I still need to do research on products, keywords and traffic before domain purchase! This helped a lot.

          You are super, your answers helped me a lot and so did the another thread here you linked to made me realize, I was thinking backwards. I guess it is better to be back to drawing board now before buying a domain and adding content. Thank you again.

    I find that having an additional product or two in the same niche works well. The second product seems to me, typically, to be about 10% more work for 35% more income, so it's a pretty good deal.

    But I always start with one product, and will add the second later (just my own preference).

    I do like to try to avoid "one product niches", though, for this reason (not that there are so many of them anyway, really).

    Anywhere you can get one with a sidebar, I think? All the main blogging softwares have themes available without sidebars. (I like to have a sidebar, myself).

    It's whichever one you can do more easily.

    The sales/traffic/opt-ins won't be affected by how the site's made.

    Some people like Wordpress for sites like that because you can get plug-ins like "All In One SEO" for it, which help with some backlinks. I don't use Wordpress, myself, but it's up to you.

    There's a lot of help and support available (e.g. here and on YouTube) if you use Wordpress, just because so many others do.

    Yes. One big tip: choose the right product(s). If you get that wrong (as I did at first), it's a real nuisance to correct it. Other things are much easier to change as you develop and learn.
