Wouldn't it be Cool if....

I'm just curious, I've realized that signature links have been very useful for SEO and promotion. I know forum marketing people specifically just target posting on forum and it seems fairly effective.

In short Sigs have been VERY well known for numerous benefits from SEO all the way to even Sales and Traffic! I've experienced both but the problem is that you cannot view the stats such as how many people are viewing your links and how many actually click through!

Wouldn't it be great if the warrior forum could have some script to check such stats maybe for small fee as an added feature or bonus to members. Would definitely be great to help with marketing.

Just thought I'd toss out this suggestion.

    Interesting idea!

In general I don't think I've had all that much success myself with forum signatures for traffic but I've never really tried it as a marketing method.

There is a Views count in the post list, your destination tracking code/log can show the number of visits from the referring forum. Just takes a little manual correlation.

It's worth knowing the exact conversion rates for PPC, but seems like over analysis for freebie traffic.

Yes however others can monitor what works and what doesn't to maximize on the click through. There are people who specifically do forum marketing and it has to be working for them because else they wouldn't be doing it. I personally just surf the forum to learn and then I stick my sig in there just as a reason to procrastinate ;D

You shouldn't underestimate freebie traffic, there are tons of guides and ebooks on yahoo answers and how to get free traffic. It can be free traffic but it can be just as targeted as PPC ads and equally as much exposure.

I know it's nothing big but would be a nice feature considering it likely wouldn't take too much coding to integrate. Many people would likely appreciate it. Look how many people jumped on the banner in their sig?

Statcounter tracks all that to a certain point, but you specifically would like it to be an integrated part of Warrior forums in our CP. I'm all for it of course...

    It's a cool idea.

It's a challenge for someone to create a tool like that. I think it will sell like crazy.
