If Aweber Email 1, 2 has spam=0, but Email 3 is spammy, will Email 3 go to the Junk folder?

If I have 10 emails, set up in one aweber list.

Emails 1, 2 have a spam reading of 0, and these emails get straight to the inbox, so this Sender(Me) gets in their inbox.


How email 3 on my set up has a spam reading greater than 0, on the aweber spam meter. (lets say 5, worse case scenario - made up, for this sake)

Will this email 3 go to the Junk folder? or the fact that emails 1,2, have been straight in the inbox mean that email 3 the inbox too? (the email account recognises that the first 2 emails were safe)

or because email 3 is spam one, it will get to the junk folder?


In other words, are emails 1,2,3,....10 dependent on each others content to where they end up? or if Email 1 goes to the INBOX as safe, then all 10 emails wil go to the inbox, (regardless how spammy they seem)


- NOTE I can reduce the spammyness of them, but some i cannot 100%, so i thought id ask

    Hello Entry,

    I think what you're getting at is the fact the first two emails got through to the inbox ok, you're hoping email 3 will do the same.

    I'm not sure about this as I don't send any spammy emails but I would have thought the 3rd email would go to the spam folder (again depending on exactly how spammy it is).

    However you could ask your subscribers to whitelist your email address in your first two emails that get through.

    Having said that, if you sent me 2 nice non spam emails and I whitelisted you, then you sent me a third one which was blatant spam. Your credibility with me would vanish and I'd unsubscribe immediately.

    If you're not whitelisted by your subscribers, then whether or not your email gets through is determined by:

    1. How "spammy" it is.
    This should be obvious so I won't explain it.

    2. How aggressive the spam filters are set that it passes through.
    Individuals can set their own spam filters, both on their domain and in their email client. The more aggressive they are about fighting spam, the greater the chance it gets bit. It can also pass through spam filters at relay points and get deleted before it ever gets to your server.

    3. How the recipient has his email set up to handle spam.
    Some folks have spam sent straight to the trash folder or deleted on the server. I have one account set to have the subject line marked as spam, but have the email delivered to my Inbox anyway. On another account I have the spam sent to the trash bin.

    4. The fickle finger of fate.
    What that last item means is, I've had identical emails sent to me and one is marked as spam and the other isn't -- you just never know for sure.
