Membership Websites???

Perhaps someone knows of a good "FREE" membership website builder that I can start experimenting with. All replies appreciated and Thanks for your time.

    Well based on what kind of a membership site you want, Wordpress might be a great script to begin with. Just make registration mandatory for the member pages.

    I know you asked for free, and what I'm about to post isn't free but I believe it's cheap enough that anyone can afford it and it does a great job. I use it for a number of my membership sites.

    Also if you really want to run a membership site I'd recommend using something that isn't free as you might be limited and their might be security risks. Just my opinion.

    Here is what I use & recommend.

    It's $77 which I don't think is bad for all the things this does.

    What kind of membership website are you trying to run?

    Anytime that I build a membership type website I use amember. I really like it, but it is not free.

    I am pretty sure that there are free plug-ins for wordpress that are good to play around with though.

    I believe they have a free plugin called 'Menu' that
    will setup your site like a membership site???
