Can Anyone Tell Me Why PR1.org ranks for like every keyword?

This site, pr1.org, ranks in like every keyword im trying to target in google, yet it has absolutely nothing to do with said keyword.

Don't believe me? Type in Nitro Sport NO3 into google and see what comes up....

Go ahead, click on one of the links in the results that include pr1.org...

Does this site have anything to do with Nitro Sport NO3? I didnt think so, yet they rank for the #2, #3, and #4 spot.

They dont even have the title tag, h1, or any content related to nitro sport no3, and they rank in the top 4 positions.

But, my website, which has all of that optimized, including a 500 word artile describing practically everything there is to know about this supplement, is ranked like #96.

Google needs to get there head out of their a&^ and start returning results that matter, not whoever has the most spammy links going to it.

End of rant, sorry guys it is just really bothering me.

How many links with the appropriate anchor text do you have to your website?

    How old is your website?

I would think that since you have better onsite SEO, that with a little bit of off-site SEO then you could outrank them pretty easy. But IMHO, it can take a good 4 weeks or more for your link building efforts to bear fruit.

BTW - Back in the day, Google USED to rank sites based on the on page factors and it is extremely easy to game which is why they no longer weight them so heavily. If they did go back to that instead of taking backlinks into consideration I don't think you would like it much because there would be a ton of SEO'ers that would be way ahead of you there.

The site is about 8 months old, has about 130 pages, but has very few anchor text links going to it. I know, I know, I need to build links. Im working on outsourcing that to another company now.

Maybe if google did not place so much emphasis on inbound links though, maybe 50% onsite and 50% links, it would help display more relevant results. Just a thought.

      Thanks for your input.

    Are you even paying attention?

    PR1.org is an article directory.

Why does it surprise you that it ranks for lots of keywords?
