Using Amazon quotes on affiliate site

Hi all

I've had a look around for this but couldnt find an answer - do you know if it is allowed to include a customer review of an Amazon product on your own affiliate site?

I don't see any issues but you never know!

Thanks

Only if you're promoting the product through Amazon, otherwise it's a copyright violation.

You can't steal user reviews from the Amazon site to sell the same product through a different vendor.

Just wondering: Does it actually say that on amazon?

        Yes, it does...

I know they've changed the AWS recently so you can't use the feed to pull through reviews that are then archived on your site, instead they have to be in an iframe.

I usually quote snippets of the review and then provide a link to the full review so the reader can just read it on Amazon.

If you link to the actual review itself the product add to basket box appears in the right hand corner of the screen and helps conversion.

I do my quotes just like Mrs S does. I'll just take a little snippet of their review, as some are rather lengthy, and just hyperlink it to the full review. It is just one more gateway to get them over to amazon. And it has helped.

I agree with Mrs.S. I also take a piece of the review than link it to the full review.

I also use the technique of quoting (sometimes paraphrasing) just part of the review and then link to the full review. Tis a nice soft sell.

Note: when I paraphrase a review I make it clear that that is what I am doing - and then suggest they click my amazon link to read the full unparaphrased review.

I write my own very short summary, using the best descriptive phrases from various reviews, and then I send my readers to Amazon for more details.
