Will you get spam emails if you expose your email in the forums ?

I just got a spam email and i have registered to the forum today itself ...I have never exposed my email in any other place :confused:

    I am sure that if you check the emails full details, which is
    different depending on the email service, you will find that
    the actual email's path is from some other source.

    as far as getting your email address? it is right on your
    personal page, so is easy to acquire with a 'scraper' program.
