Dollars per list member

Hi all

I am new the the IM arena and still doing quite a bit of reading. One of the things I have seen mentioned quite a bit is the general rule that you should be able to generate about $1 per member on your list.

What I am not sure about is if this is quoted per year, month, day, each email etc. Can anyone expand on this rule further for me?

Thanks

B

That would be $1 per subscriber per month. And it's just a really general benchmark. I make more than that. Others make less. Some make a LOT more! I think it's an appealing goal when you're starting out because it's easy to wrap your head around. And it's incentive to grow your list when you think of each new subscriber as one more dollar in your bank account every month!

John is right - it's a benchmark for an idea of how much they are worth to you per month. But it may take a while of building up a relationship of trust before you can reach that amount and more.

In my opinion, subscribers are invaluable. Take care of them, and they will take care of you. Promote offer after offer after offer without giving anything and you'll probably struggle to make anything off them!
